My rule of thumb is always buy the 2nd generation items, so they work out the bugs in 1st.

Well they will come with all the glitches and issues that all first gen technology seems to bring along with it. I do know that the PS3 requires a firmware upgrade right out of the box and you do hear about systems overheating and what not. I have a 60GB PS3 and it's still in the box. I might sell it but right now I'm inclined to keep it. I'll wait a few weeks and see. I did get it direct from Sony and if I do keep it I will buy the extended service plan so I'm covered as far as problems. I think they are automatically selling the PS3s with 1 year of warranty service included.

Walked into Best Buy yesterday at 4:00pm and was able to pick up a 20gb PS3

I was shocked that it was there so I went ahead and picked it up on impulse. Not sure if I should hold out and wait for a 60gb system.

There's no point in reselling that one. But I think you should really hold out for the 60gb one.

I went to TRU looking for Marvel Legends today and they just put out 12 PS3 60 GB systems. I was shocked. They were just sitting there! I am going to wait awhile because of all the Sideshow orders I have, so I did not get one. I think that they are going to be more available up till Chistmas.

Nice! I was contemplating getting another one. But Resistance isn't enough to justify getting one right now. So I'm gonna pick up the 360 with Gears and go Live instead.
