A LOTR collection looks like a medieval museum. A JP collection looks like a paleontology museum. I'm sure a wall of weapon replicas will look like an armory. Newsflash: if you're buying museum-style maquettes, there will be a museum flavor to your display. And by the way, who says museums aren't classy? I'd argue the term "museum" is classier than "man cave."
Spend more than a minute thinking about his posts and you'll realize he trips himself up more than an AT-AT.

For real, that was such a bizarre Thread derail.
Especially since, as Max said:

This line is a dream for a JP fan. Even more so for those collecting Iron Studios and Prime 1 pieces as well, as ECC filled Chronicle shoes to perfection.
We got each company doing their own things.

I told you all that i followed ECC from the start. But this line is not for me. It is not classy.
A room full of Dinos, eggs, relics etc INSTANTLY oozes of paleontology segment of a museum. I would go in a museum rather have them in my house.
Guys with dedicated rooms for LOTR with sculpts from the movies, swords, artifacts etc, can not understand that their rooms look like the medieval section of a museum.
Take a back seat and you can clearly get it.
But it is pointless to argue with JP fans. You love it so you cant get what i am saying. Its classical psychology. It is like trying to convince a guy having 500 Fords in his garage that Ford is not the best company ever. You are JP fans, you cant hear any other voice.
The line is good, ECC's sculpts are magnificent but sorry, they are not for me. Simple as that.
Have fun with the new line. I'll watch from afarrrrrrrrrr

What you are doing here is like going to a Kiss concert and yelling they look like clowns. You have no space here if you won't appreciate the "paleontological" pieces. Just leave this threat!

The same applies to collections of LOTR i see online. They only have LOTR along with swords, with artifacts etc.
Their spaces DONT look classy.
They look like the MEDIEVAL segment of a museum.
Sit down for 1 minute, think about it and you would instantly get what i am saying.
Nevertheless, i am happy for you but i wont follow ECC for the first time in a decade (?). I don't remember when i received first ECC's piece.

Where have you been, they have made Dinos for years, for Chronicle and under their own license for the last 4 pieces even before these. It is no wonder why you must have gotten laughed at when you posted your collection pics. When you said that I couldn't understand how that could be, but you must have all you stuff in a trailer or something. People would be lucky to have their collections look classy enough to pass as a museum.

So seems ECC are doing 1 marquee piece every year and then a lot of accompanying pieces. I dont mind that as I dont feel like im missing out on something.
I can only hope Lost World and JP3 also get the treatment down the line, the dinosaur designs in those 2 movies might be less iconic but in my opinion are better than JP 1.

This license and working with Legacy/SWS must've been a pretty penny. I've never seen them divot this much product to one license before, especially one that Steve didn't work on. Some very interesting pieces for sure.

Maybe due to the strong sales on the T-rex? I guess they have an advantage over competitors with people who actually worked on the film and they say people really respond to that maybe.

The eye replicas are pretty damn cool. I wouldn't be able to buy just one though, they feel like they were meant to be displayed together.

Same. I just hope that if they make a Buck and Spino based on larger maquettes, they bring them down to the same scale and give them the same style of base so they can be displayed together.
On a related note, do any JP superfans know which Rex maquette is depicted in these JP3 images?
I remember they used images of this maquette for a lot of JP3 merchandise back in the day. The pose looks the same as the TLW maquette, but the paintjob is different.
The TLW maquette:
The reason I make (or try to make) that distinction is because I've never been a big fan of the TLW maquette, it just doesn't evoke the film character for me. But I love the JP3 version/repaint/whatever it is.
