Excellent.

He looks a little thin but this is just a prototype.

As for the pose, yeah it's strange. but as this is an action figure, who cares?

Ah its an action figure. For some reason I thought this was a statue. Fair enough.

Looks like a marionette. They're coming out with so many versions I can't keep up with which is which!

Ah... I thought it was an action figure. Now, I'm not sure anymore.

Let us hope it is.

I'm 100% certain this is a posable action figure like the ones previously released by Hot Toys

and a mighty fine looking one too!

I have never come across that thread before?

Do they do one every year?

No, it's isn't even semi-official.

The closest thing Statue Forum has to an annual "event" were the SF Awards of 2006 and 2007.

http://www.statueforum.com/forumdisplay.php?f=70

Welcome to the first annual Statue Forum Awards!

A forum that has collectors, manufacturers, sculptors, painters and more only deserves an award ceremony. Since we couldn't get a room for everyone, this is the next best place to have it at! Some though, have a made greater difference than others. Might not be by much but they should have their place in history. For this we are having two types of awards.
1- Fan vote awards
2- Private vote awards

1- The fan vote awards will be a posted soon. What we will have are several categories and options to choose from. You have actually created these options (or finalists). Each fan will select his winner in each category from the given options and send them to Tetra. He will then add up the totals and post the final winners. Once the list goes up, more information will be given.

2- The private vote awards are a list of categories that were sent to members selected from each section that they participate in the most, mods, sf writers and others as well. It was amazing to see what some voted which one would have thought they would have voted for what they collected but actually they voted for what they admired (sometimes you can't afford what you admire and really like). They chose a winner in each category and submitted them to us this month. The difference was, they could choose anyone. So, if the category was favorite car of 2007, they could put down any car that was released in 2007. The votes are in and will be posted in another thread.

We ask that as many of you as possible take part in this. Let's make our vote count!

I miss em.

The figure looks good, but let's see a Mark VI already.

I'll just stick to my battle damaged Mk III and hope that they do a MK V or DX

The difference is marginal at best, IMO.

If I were to get the rest of these, I'd get Mark I, II, III BD, V, VI, but then it's like, why not get IV and finish it off, lol

This look great!
I think they are getting better everytime.

I'm so burned out with the toys! Next to the statues they just look like toys!

I may just get all the statues and get these later.
We will see...

These things are amazing, the detail is better than some statues and the chest reactor has so much depth.

I like what they've done with the chest area.

Whas readjusting my Mk II yesterday and that plastic chest is about the only sore spot with the figure

As for the figures themselves, the difference in articulation alone is like day and night. Armor-wise, the Mark IV is like an even sexier Mark III.

I'd say it's enough to warrant the purchase.

yeah, it's gonna be nasty. I wish they'd come out with a little playset for the suits to sit in, like the flick.

The stand for the Mark IV looks like it could fit in one.

I wonder if Hot Toys would make something like that.

See that's the problem, it never ends with HT...I love them and hate them.

I still have that final battle MKIII on order because I like the gimmicks on its back, arms and legs but now they're making this MKIV with the same gimmicks and more so with hell lot better articulations...

But who am I kidding, I know I will end up buying all of them.

Here is the thing guys, they are just too small!!
I put them next to my other Sideshow and custom stuff and they are small. Also, I hate trying to make them stand up! They always fall off..

maybe because youre comparing the 1/6 scale ht toys to 1/4 scale ss statues..

there is no doubt 1/4 scale is bigger than 1/6..

I would buy Hot toys figures if they were 1:2 scale.

Probably only cost about $800.00 and look better than the competition. :thumbs2:
