Hot Toys is proud to present the 1/6th scale Black Widow Limited Edition Collectible Figurine from the Iron Man 2 movie. The movie-accurate Black Widow collectible is specially crafted based on the image of Scarlett Johansson in the movie, highlighting the newly sculpted head, hair implantation, highly detailed costume and accessories.

The 1/6th scale Black Widow Limited Edition Collectible Figurine specially features:

- Authentic and detailed fully realized likeness of Scarlett Johansson as Black Widow in the movie Iron Man 2

- Newly sculpted head with movie-accurate facial expression and make-up

- Real fabric hair implantation in brownish red long curly hair

- Newly developed TrueType body highlighting her body shape

- Approximately 28 cm tall

- Over 28 points of articulations

- Two (2) pairs of interchangeable gloved palms (one (1) pair of relaxed palms; one (1) pair for holding pistols)

- One (1) extra right gloved palm for posing on waist

- Each piece of head sculpt is specially hand-painted



Costume :

- One-piece tight dark blue colored jumpsuit with one (1) belt included

- One (1) extra greyish black colored belt with pouches and pistol holster

- One (1) pair of leather-like greyish blue colored platform boots with buckles



Weapons:

- Two (2) pistols



Accessories:

- One (1) pair of bracelets with multiple-bullet design

- Figure base with Black Widow nameplate and the movie logo

Pretty good likeness I must say, but Scarlet was fuller bodywise and legs weren't this long. Plus her butt was also fuller :drooling:

And her zip is HUGE! SO unrealistic!

I like this piece a lot. It fits all of the requirements for a Hot Toys piece to be displayed in my collection.

1) Nice sculpt
2) No joint lines visable (making it more like a pose-able statue rather than a big action figure)

The other nice thing about this piece is that it gives a big middle finger to Tonner. Real hair can be incorporated into a 12" line without going all-out Barbie. Kudos, once again, to Hot Toys.

I was about to mention that. As much as I like Hot Toys and SJ this figure is not my favorite that Hot Toys has produced. I just get that Tonner doll like feel to it.

Not the best likeness HT is capable of. Perhaps I've been spoiled by HT's Godfather and Aldo Raine (amazing Brando and Pitt likeness) but Black Widow here only looks like Scarlett in some pics and at certain angles.

I agree that likeness could be slightly improved. Not so much, just a little bit.

Maybe the final product that hit the shelves makes me think otherwise... Who knows?!

On the other hand, it is quite complicated for me to get everything HT releases, due to the final cost of such purchases, which includes import fee of 60% of the order's ammount. So I've to choose. In this case I've chosen T-800 (Arnold Schwarzenegger) Terminator from Terminator 2 over Black Widow (Scarlet Johansson) from Iron Man 2.

That's life, as Old Blue Eyes used to sing!

Man, this would almost be worth getting for the headsculpt alone.

Not sure what happened to the proportions on the body though. Either the breasts are too low now or the neck is too long...

I think there are 2 main problems:

1) superdude is right, the neck is slightly too long (seems to be a recurring theme with HT figures at the moment...)

2) The upper belt is way too high, making it look like the boobs are those of a 60 year-old. The ill-fitting costume doesn't help matters either. If you ignore this belt, the proportions aren't too bad at all.

Separate the rubber inserts from the hard plastic inner body, sand down or remove a plastic tab securing the insert in place, the tabs inserts to the hole that was shown in the breast inserts (picture below) and you'll get better more natural breast... better cleavage

Do note: you don't have to peel the inserts from the rubber skin as he did. You'll just need to peel the backing of the insert that was glued to hard plastic behind.

I would prefer a sculpted hair. This is the only reason why I won't buy this figure.
