Well, due to circumstances beyond my control, I was late getting to the con today, but still managed to get a bit done.

Saw Joe again, and he very kindly signed my Wednesday Comics HC and Hawkman Archives HC. I then decided to take a punt and ask him if there was any chance of getting a quick sketch in the Hawkman HC, expecting a negative response. He started to explain why he couldn't, and I indicated that I understood his position and that it was basically a case of "nothing ventured, nothing gained", and then he decided to do one anyway! :eek:

What can I say, except that Joe is a true gentleman in every sense of the word!

A bit later, I got to meet Stuart and Kathryn Immonen, who are both lovely people. I got them to sign a copy of Moving Pictures, and Stuart did this sketch for me in my Spidey: Friends and Foes sketchbook.

Unfortunately, due to getting to the con late, I wasn't able to arrange a sketch from Colin Wilson. Hopefully tomorrow.

Well, wife and child in tow, I headed into Supanova again today. First stop was the media guests to get some pics for some forum buddies.

Sounds like there was some sort of miscommunication between Bendis and Immonen. The error got picked up, but wasn't quite corrected properly. That's why Hawkeye's colouring is wrong.

Supanova (or the post con "stuff") has finally finished today *sigh*

Joe and Kubert and Gabe Bridwell paid a visit to my home this morning/afternoon for refreshments and perused my comic art collection. It was a blast having Joe spend some hours giving his thoughts on the industry, hearing his comments on the artwork and listening to him reminisce. A rare privilege and treat indeed!

I thought I'd take the opportunity to have a photo with Joe and the Sgt. Rock sketch he kindly did for me.

We had a late lunch in the city and I dropped them off at their hotel. Joe kindly offered to reciprocate when I visit him at his school outside of NYC next month - I'm looking forward to it!

Then it was dinner with Stuart and Kathryn Immonen with my family at a mexican restaurant which was over all too quickly before I also dropped them off at their hotel before their departure.

Stuart and Kathryn thoroughly enjoyed their visit to Perth and I'm looking forward to catching up with them at SDCC where they are featured guests of the con. Best,
