i have a Kodak 8.2 mega pixel camera.Regular point and shoot nothing fancy.I was wondering what settings i would use to get close to the quality pics of my collection as Insomniac has on display.

Unfortunately a point and shoot has its limitations. Lens diameter and lens quality are the biggest hurdles. But for a point and shoot the keys will be good lighting, no flash, a tripod and timer. These were taken with a point and shoot and turned put pretty good.

But since I started using my SLR the quality of my pics have gone way up. But I still use the same principles.

1. Good or controlled lighting
2. No flash
3. Use a tripod
4. Use the timer

3&4 keeps your hands off the camera while the picture is being taken.

Hope this helps and have fun taking pics.

That is strange, the link works for me. You can try accessing the thread directly on SM. It is in the Camera Eye section under Discussions and Technical Help.

That's strange, it almost seems like they blocked your IP. Did you do something to upset them? I will PM joe and see if he can repost the info here.
