Who wants Guardians of the Galaxy Mini Busts?

A few for me.... I would buy Aleta, and Nikki, but don't know if they should be made. Yondu, Majory Victory with the mask, and Charlie 27 should be made probably.

I think if these 5 were made they'd sell well as they are the most visually pleasing. Let's stay with the 70's costumes as those seem to have the most appeal.

1. Vance Astro (metallic black and white paint on his costume).
2. Yondu with his bow.
3. StarHawk
4. Martinex (cast him in a clearish resin with a high gloss clear coat to make him look all crystaloid)
5. Charlie 27 (hulking and huge)

I would like these but the fact that they are pretty all or nothing (make one, make all) hurts their chances. Visually, they're great but I can't imagine they would sell well...

I agree that they haven't exactly had a lot of exposure lately, but I'd still like to see them come to form. Then again, Nova (while a more popular character) hasn't had much exposure lately either...so who knows maybe they would sell.

I agree with DD the runs should be lower to avoid Karnak syndrome.

I think it should probably only be Vance Astro in the mask that character looks really cool, hell it can't do any worse than Karnak. I bet Karnak has not even sold 1000 busts yet. I know my comic store has a bunch.

Yes, I agree, but personally, my wish list would go, Yondu, Starhawk, Martinex, Astro, and Charlie.

I liked these guys when they appeared in their Jim Valentino series. I'd buy Starhawk, Vance (metallic black/white costume with mask), and Yondu. Again, I know they're obscure, but they'd make great looking busts, especially Starhawk with the gold "solar sails " extending from his mask. I remember on the old Bowen forum that Randy asked for some reference pics on them, so hopefully a few will see the light of day. :)

I liked the old Guardian's of The Galaxy and think they are some visually cool looking characters, but I'd much rather have busts of the Shi'ar Imperial Guard first, and the Heralds of Galactus, before the Guardian's... Just my opinion.... :)

Here's a pic of Vance Astro in an early Guardians outfit. It's a custom I did a while ago. The star on his chest is a communications device that the entire team wore.

While there are no doubt better known teams, it is doubtful that there are any cooler looking teams still untapped by BD than the Guardians of the Galaxy. I think Randy could really kick ass sculpting all of this very unique and cool team.

I think the main five or six would make very cool busts, but I'm thinking more along the lines of Phase IV.....there are still too many Avengers and X-Men that need to be busted, and after them Phase III should belong to the Defenders and Alpha Flight (both much more important than the Guardians)!

I just dug out some old Marvel Premiere comics to take another look at these guys, and the character that would make the coolest bust (if done properly) would probably be Martinex. His multi-faceted diamond look would look awesome.

No more multi-packs please! Do you really think that paying $300 or so for a six-pack is going to sell well? Especially for fans that are luke-warm to the characters in the first place? Release a couple of the more visually striking guys individually at first (e.g. Starhawk and Vance), and then see what happens. I love the Guardians, but even I'm not sure I want all of them, especially if you're forced to get all of them at once. All that said, I'd love to see a few of these! :buttrock:

I would love to have a Starhawk(flight mode) and Vance Astro with Cap's shield and the exo suit (the mullet version is not needed, but I would buy it if it was made. :rolleyes2 ) Yondu is also visually striking and I would like to see the others made, but they aren't as important to me as these first three.

I think Martinex could be customized from a clear Iceman bust and would look okay.

Yondu was always my favourite from the group. There's always something about those archers. And he was such a cool looking character.

Charlie, Nikki and Starhawk might be okay.

Never cared much for Martinex or Vance. Even after Vance started lugging Cap's shield around. But that's just my opinion. I'm sure there are others that like them.
