I've tried melting casteline and pouring it into a mold, but it cools down to fast and the casting looks like crap. could any one give me some advise on how to cast casteline properly.

My limited experience with casting with castilene have been very good... Have you heated the molds just a touch? That will help get the castilene in the nooks and cranny's.
I also microwaved it into a liquid form and stirred the holy hell out of it before heating it again and stirring again before I poured very quickly. I also kept tapping/ gently shaking the mold so I could get the most bubbles out as possible. Then as it cools you will see it settle from where you poured it in the mold. I take the bowl which is still liquid hot and top off the mold where the stuff started to cool and settle... I peeled it out and my cast looked good enough to do the finish on...
I hope that helps... that's all my pea brain has to offer...

thanks Kdawg. that make sense. I didn't think of heating the molds.
