$1200 and dealers are not allowed to sell for under $1195.00

I am thinking about getting it but that is a LOT of money. I have the Sideshow endskeleton on order and hope they release one.

I also ordered the Attakus piece for $300 shipped.

The T-850 is the coolest one of the 3 Terminator series ,such a cool item but pretty expensive, I'm thinking about selling my endo-arm to afford this piece (and to make some space available). But don't knwo how much it'll cost in Europe ,probably even more.

Yes I have but it's not the icons one its from CPR but has also the icons logo on it ,I believe the factory went broke and they didn't produce a lot of them.
I have Nr. 7.
The icons version was a bit better but this also is a nice piece.

It's not from SS , a company that didn't last that long made it I believe it was called Crazy Props and Replicas.
They had the license for terminator stuff and some predator alien things.
The display is from IKEA ,I just took on shelve out in the middle.

Icons and then Timeless made the Terminator arm and other props. It sucks they went out of business. Their stuff was top notch.

They also made items from Star Wars, Jurassic Park, Star Trek, and Predator.

TRUE.TRUE. Icons's Star Wars X-Wing and TIE-Fighter are still the BEST looking prop replicas out there.

P1,

Do you plan on buying the endoskeleton too? I know you have the T-X.

I have the Sideshow endoskeleton on order, $1500 is just too much IMO.

I will probably just order Indiana Jones and Arnold. The rest I hope Sideshow makes into 1/4.

Let's hope that shotgun looks better with the final product!

the delivery time still can be long. Remember: they do only 50 T-850 per month. Most of retailers says that delivery time may vary from 2-4 weeks to 20 months. I depends on how they proceed the orders they got.

If I remember well, they said that the first batch of T-850's were ready to go out, so 2-4 weeks to 20 months doesn't make too much sense to me(unless you didn't catch the first batch), principally when I was one of the very first that ordered it. I'm assuming that this first batch have what, 50 statues?

yes, it may be true and that's why I said that it depends on how they proceed their orders. There are also orders from retailers and for them it is aggreed before.

Anyway, let's wait and see. I have pre ordered mine from a retailer 6 months ago now and with the Sauron statue from Sideshow I have pre ordered , I definitely learned patience :) . My guess is that first place to be delivered will be the US.

First of all, I'm new to this board. :)

I'm wondering what's the hold up as well. You other guys ordered almost a month ago and you haven't got yours yet. It looks like these just aren't selling. Does anyone know how many pieces of the TX have been sold so far?
Something tells be the edition sizes will be lowered, maybe down to 500 or less if this sales pace continues. Or maybe they will lower their prices. Yeah right.

hey DSF, it's a great art piece done by the masters at Stan Winston Studios. very authentic to the film. i definitely think it's worth the money. you won't be disappointed. the weight on this piece is incredibly solid! i love the bright blue, glowing lights on it that gives it a "live" aura. :buttrock:

Well, I took P1X4R's advice and ordered the TX.
Here's the interesting part: Order #5012. The order that I placed a few days ago for the T-850 was #5011. I think these are combined orders for both the TX and T-850. If that's the case, they have sold 12 TXs and T-850s so far. :inquisiti

They need to:

- Reduce their Prices
- Offer a Payment Plan
- Make website more "user-friendly"
- Promote themselves via the discussion boards (ie. insider pics, vids, etc)

i agree. it would be a pity if they ended up cancelling this series. the quality is absolutely superb!

i'm excited that companies like Sideshow are also producing high end quality statues. the SS Predator is a perfect example of this. it's a small market niche but there's always room for healthy competition..

as candyrocket786 already mentioned.. offering payment plans like Sideshow's flex option would definitely attract more buyers. there aren't too many buyers out there who are willing to shell out $1K+ every three months.

Ouch! That is very bad.

I do wonder about the design of their business model, marketing campaign and overall management of the company.

If these things are suppose have an edition size 1000... then CMaq should be trying to produce/sell around 10x as much per month (or more) in order to keep the momentum following.

Personally,I think they need to scrap the LOTR license and focus on past movie icons.

... and I really think they screwed up by producing the TX first. They should have started with Indiana Jones and focused their marketing around that figure. The character is simply an ICON: Everyone knows who Indiana Jones is and the majority of women love Harrison Ford

DetroitSportsFan

If these things are suppose have an edition size 1000
I think they really meant that they were shooting for a maximum of 1000. I think their weird way of taking orders turns people off.
"We're going to make 50 pieces per month for 20 months, and when you order we'll let you know if you're eligible for this shipment, or you'll be put on a waiting list".
The dealers that are taking preorders for these won't give a date of arrival, saying "Anywhere between now and October 2006".
And now, after the product is "available", people who ordered the T-850 one month ago are still waiting.
At this rate, I'd be surprised if this line makes it past the T-800 Endo.

That's why they need to revamp the process (as laborious as it may be) and start churning more of them out per month.

If they had the payment plan in place, then I could see how the arrival between "now and October 2006" is somewhat feasible. It would give the average income earners enough time to pay off the statue.

Sorry to spook you, P1X, but we are talking about a $1200 statue here that had many protos. Truth is, we still don't know which version will be the final one until we open the box.

Does this policy cover if you don't like the statue you can get a full refund? I dunno, man. That's why I asked them and I didn't hear back. Neither got any shipping email today.
With SS(and many other companys), they will give a full refund(less shipping) in case you are not completly satisfied with their product. We are speaking about a $1200 statue here. I will not take any risks. If I don't get my shipping email today, then something isn't right.

Yes, this is something that should be clearly explained in their site. Why they didn't put a FAQ with a "What if I'm not satisfied with my purchase" question?
