AP Cave Trolls - Believe It? Or Not.

Has anyone seen this guy on ebay who lists about five AP Cave Troll busts a week? I’ve been watching and he has listed a TON of these! How many of these can there possibly be?? And how did this one guy get all of them?

Are these legit or has this guy found some way to take the numbers off of normal busts??

Any thoughts…?

I spoke with Sideshow Collectibles about this issue. This is their reply:
"Well I discovered that there was a promo with a video games store and there were 1,500 of these that went out in error but they do have a number and the letters ap. it is not a true ap with a number on it and was never meant to be an ap..."

Wow, well that is news! Thanks drod. I knew there was something fishy about the situation. Does that mean there are 1500 more in addition to the full numbered run of 10,000 or whatever it is?? That's a heck of a lot of cave trolls!

Would anyone ascribe greater value to these? Just curious.
