Happy Holidays all:
This is the time of the year to get together and spread joy and meet with friends. What better way to do that is to come together and build and talk about model building. Especially SciFi, Fantasy and Horror model building.
Alternate Universe, the only model club for all things SciFi, Fantasy and Horror will be holding it's December meeting at the Olive Recreation Center, 1111 West Olive Ave. Burbank, CA. The meeting will be held in meeting room 4 on Saturday, December 18, 2010. The time is from 9:30 AM to 12:30 PM.
No demo this month. If you have a idea or want to give a demo, please let me know. But this meeting will give everyone a chance to work on there projects for the up coming shows.
Terry Webb has asked us to help come up with some ways to increase the number of entries in the Monsterpalooza model contest. If you have any suggestions please pass them along. We need to support this contest. One idea we have come up with is for Alternate Universe to sponsor three awards with a cash prizes. We will be talking with Terry about this idea
Best parking is behind the Recreation Center off Clark Street, so come early. Remember our starting time is 9:30 am
Admission is free and the meetings fun. Alternate Universe has no membership dues, We only accept donations to help cover room and refreshment costs. Our goal is to promote the hobby of SciFi, Fantasy and Horror modeling.
Bring your a finished project. Bring a friend, join the fun with our group builds. Some of our members have said this gives them the time to work on their projects they can do otherwise.
If you have any kits or figures you would like to donate to the club for our door prizes, they will be welcome. Thanks
Door Prizes, Light Refreshments (sodas). Any skill levels welcome.
