That one is nice!
There's a much bigger and better pic on rebelscum. I won't be picking this statue up because I'm partial to the OT, but I think it's really nice nonetheless.

I thought the first picture was just fine. Either way it's sweet and definitely gonna pic this one up after the new Vader.

As I have said on other forums,
I think everything about it is perfect! Nice pose and they nailed the likeness.
I just wish it was bigger!
I thought the first picture was just fine.
It was fine. The second one is better though. You can see all the details.

Agreed. IMO, that's the best Koto SW piece I've seen. I wouldn't buy it since I don't collect soft vinyl pieces, but stills a very nice piece. Great details and likeness.
I was gonna post the bigger pic, but thought it overwhelming for the board width..pixel wise...

And so it begins. While GG sits on their butts, Koto keeps raising the bar. My only concern will be buying the variants, which you know are going to come.

When does this one hit the streets? Vinyl or not If Koto steps up their number of releases and improved the quality of human sculpts (especially females (their Anakin was better than GG's IMO), they could give GG a serious run for the market.

Man if Koto made these resin, they'd be the best on the market hands down IMO. But as it is, they got the best paints and detail going. Boba Fett still being my fave.

Absolutely. They're a great alternative. But if they were resin all the better. Like Bulls said. I don't mind the size though. I love these.

Aren't these 1/7th scale? Which are slightly bigger than Bowen's but slightly smaller than GG's (however if you display the GG Chewy with the Koto Han, it looks almost perfect 'cept for Han's kinda bland expression). What does the new Koto Vader look like? Does anyone know if some of the other color variants have been announced? I think the other colors in the movie were red, yellow and green (have no idea what rank that signifies though). Koto should also make Royal Guards and Crimson Guards.
Okay, I'm officially pulling for this company. :buttrock:
Great looking sculpts that keep getting better and better (okay, Chewy looks just plain weird), they bounce when you drop 'em (not shatter), and the price is right (under $100, about $70 on ebay). They just need to do more characters and crank up release schedule to say 7-8 a year. Oh, and the bases are pretty bland.

i would assume at least another 2 exclusives (red/orange) in different pose's with interchangable arms just like the last sandtrooper release. but i could see them being smart and making a huge squad white/yellow/blue/red/green/orange = $600 :eplus2:

The battle worn paint effect on this piece is amazing. The set with red, green, etc. variants will probably be spectacular. Other than the medium and scale, I just can't see GG topping this.

Man wook, that is what I am starting to think as well! I may just yet have to buy a few of the koto statues. I really like this one and I think the boba fett looks cool too. While GG sits on their @sses and paints everything silver to sell as an exclusive Kotobukiya is actually doing what a company is supposed to do and that is getting product out for you to buy and they are doing one helluva job with their recent statues.
I recently got into the Koto stuff to decorate my office and I am hooked. The detail and sense of motion is beyond anything else out.

This company is just getting better and better. Excellent sculpts and great poses. They just need to get their humans down a little better and start cranking up the line with more characters -- Tie pilot, arena Padme (plus some Queen Amidala variants), Qui-Gon, an original episode Luke and Leia, Lando, and some aliens. If this line continues getting popular though, I can see that happening.

Greetings all, post #1 here, and just wanted to excerxise some "good manners" so "Hello"...If I make any "newbie" mistakes or violate your coc/coe please, just LMK.
Koto seems to be making all the right moves, but just some observations:
Their design for the Sandtroopers was awesome in their ability to be used as stand alones or combined to form a diorama of the 3 if not more.
Their release of the variant clones was also good, but disappointing :banghead: in that the clones can't be built into a squad, it makes the somewhat high price of the variants hard to stomach if they're simply the same clone but w/ only minimal color variation.
On that note...anyone know if the bases on this Lt. Clone and the std. clone trooper are designed to interface?
Imp./Crimson guard would be A#1, but would anyone else like to see them also able to link 2 side by side, possibly w/ a seated or standing Emperror in front of them?
Well just a lil' o' my .02c...worth exactly what you paid for it.
Thanks for letting me stop in al,l I hope to learn a lot here.

It is now available for preorder at Starwarsshop.com, what is weird is that they say is 9.5" instead of the 11" of all the others Kotobukiya figures.

Can't help it man... This is the best Koto yet in my opinion. I don't want to let it to slip by me. I had a chance to get the Maul for $75 from Drod, but spent one day too many contemplating it. Now, it's hard to find and the price seems to keep climbing.

Agree w/ 10000% a squad a la the Sandtroopers is a must.
Is the Scale down a "fer sure" and not a typo/internet rumor?
If it is then I guess we aren't going to be able to use our existing Clones w/ the set...Koto...don't miss the boat on this one!!!!! Please.

Well the Clone Trooper does have sort of a spread leg stance but I'm leaning towards SWShop.com not knowing what they're talking about. Especially when you consider they have the Koto Obi-Wan listed as 13" tall and the Sandtrooper at 11". I don't have the Obi-Wan but I have seen him in person and I find it hard if not impossible to believe that he is 2" taller than the Sandtrooper.
