I stepped on my original Nano, so bought a second gen one....and recently lost it because I didnt zip up my coat pocket. So bought a 4th gen touch, my third one. Hope nothing happens to this!

0. Never had one and never will. I get all the music I need via CDs, the internet, and Sirius.

My wife has had one for over a year and has used it like, 10 times.

I bought a 75GB iPod Classic about five years ago, and I still use it at least 3-4 days a week. The newsroom at work is frequently loud, and I can drown out distractions with music. I also use it when I jog outside.

Unfortunately, I've got less than 4GB left. For the record, I have 7,285 songs, 70 videos (including five movies and 13 TV episodes), 67 photos and three games on it.

I need to get a new, bigger iPod and swap everything over.

I've used the same Classic since 2006, but I've bought about 4 sets of earbuds for it.

The standard Apple earbuds aren't worth crap - they don't fit me properly, the sound is horrible, and the rubber on the join between the plug and the cord always frays within a year or so. I now have a $10 Sony set that fits, is more durable, and has great sound quality, so I can finally hear the finer details I've been missing for the past 5 years.

My in-laws bought the latest version for my 9 year old. That dang thing is so small, I know she is going to lose it. Course that is a great plan by Apple for return business.

I had a fist gen one for years, couldn't kill that thing. I was planning on not getting a new one until it croaked, but updated to a touch as I think that thing was going to outlive me. The touch is great, couldn't be happier with it.

I've had 3 so far, 4 if I count my wife's nano.

My 1st was a 3G 40GB Classic-2003
My 2nd was a 4G 60 GB Photo-2005
My 3rd and current is an 80GB 5G Color-2007

I am pretty happy with the one I have, and haven't really felt the need to upgrade again, I will eventually but not soon. I currently have 10,248 songs on it, space would be the only reason I would feel the need to upgrade, but I have everything I want on there so I'm good. :D

I owned 2. Just recently upgraded to the 4G version after my 3G iPhone fell in the sink as I was washing the dishing.

My first Android fell out of my shirt pocket and into a friend's toilet when I was installing a new pump in the sucker.

I felt like an @ss, since taking the phone out of my pocket and putting it in a pants pocket/counter/friend's cleavage would have taken mere seconds.

That rice trick doesn't always work.

I owned a Nano for a couple days but never used it because it wasn't compatible with my operating system at the time so I had to return it. I'd like to get another one eventually.

0...

I have no problem with I Pod as an MP3 player, what puts me off is the fact that you HAVE to manage your I Pod through that god awful I Tune system...

My sis accidentally cleared out her I Pod twice because I Tune crashed and she didn't have back up music files...

What puts me off from buying an IPOD or any other Apple product is that you're buying a very expensive product of which you know there's gonna be a new version 10 months later.

Underdog07

2 Ipods - one of the older white circle versions from 2004 or so and an Ipod touch

Like underdog said, happens with everything these days.

But with apple its not like you are buying a crap item. Get good customer service, best warranty out there, item that can last and good resell value if your item i well taken care of.
