It would be great lol

Tenchu is one of my favourite game, so I'll be very happy to have a 1/4 scale mixed media statue of Rikimaru, thanks in advance Jerry ;)

I'm with ya, Bruticus. Joe Musashi/Shinobi Rules. Best Ninja game of all time is still Shinobi III (easily best 16-bit console game).

:sly2: 16 bit? We are in the 21st century now.... Ninja Gaiden is the best game out there now. Better design and characters are in Ninja Gaiden not Shinobi.

First off, you cant compare a 16 bit game with a game of today. Its like comparing a car from 90s with a brand new car today. You have diffrent tech and therefore makes a comparasion impossible.

Second, Shinobi 3 is a Ninja game in perfection, this is already well established. There is baisicly nothing wrong with the game except a bit to short. Ninja Gaiden on the other hand have more faults in it. Dont get me wrong I love Ninja Gaiden aswell. Ever since the first two foir NES that in Sweden were called Shadow Warrior and not Ninja Gaiden.

The only diffrence is that Ninja Gaiden hade gottena better game lately. Shinobi owned the ninja gaming during the SNES/Genesis era and he would kick Ruys ass anytime

Ummm, gameplay? Some of the greatest games around are from before this generation. Your statement sounds ridiculous and you're giving me that dumb emoticon? You can easily play Shinobi III and it is still as enjoyable now as it was then. If the date and year are your only requirements for what makes an awesome game, you're missing out on a lot. Do you sell your old games because "OMG, those are SOOOO last year"? Gameplay is gameplay, buddy and I've been playing games for 26 years. I know what's good and I know what stinks, and Shinobi III stands the test of time without fail. Go play it.....or don't, it may be wasted on you.

Also, there are plenty better games than Ninja Gaiden, especially in the action genre. Bayonetta beats the HELL out of it from every aspect. Shoot, I even thought DMC4 was better than Ninja Gaiden II (by a lot). The AI in NG is terrible and the action is good, but not great. Enjoyed NG, NG Black and NGII, but there are much better games out there in this generation alone, nevermind all gens combined. Itagaki and Team Ninja are way overrated. Don't get me wrong, though. The latest NG's are great games, just not to the level you're making them out to be. Too many flaws for that.

Also completely disagree with you on design (unless you're basing everything on that American boxart, which is not representative of the actual game). Hell, Itagaki and his team even made an alternate costume in NG that looked very much like the PS2 Shinobi Hotsuma design (which was an awesome costume).

Joe Musashi > Ryu Hayabusa

Used to love playing the original Shinobi in the arcades! Actually everyone in the neighborhood used to crowd around that game back in the day.

CLASSIC CLASSIC Game.

Ryu Hayabusa would be sweet as mixed media, there is 1/4 polystone but I dont like the sculpt, btw NG series is the best hack and slash game, bayonetta 2nd place
but what totally blows me up is Usagi Yojimbo :drooling: license as 1/4 mixed media

The original Ninja Gaiden series is indeed awesome. I still take Revenge of Shinobi and Shinobi III over those games, but you couldn't go wrong either way.

Yakuza and Shenmue are definitely another couple of AWESOME series that deserve statues. I haven't played Kenzan and I really wish they'd localize it for us. 1/4 Kazuma or Ryo? I'd be all over that.

Hmmm. Makes me sad to hear it. Did you play it when it first came out or did you try it later on? I think that may have to do with it in some ways (if that's the case, of course). Had a huge impact on me when it came out....so many impressive new things going on in what was then a huge world (Yokosuka is TINY by today's game standards). I was just completely sucked into the world and there were no other games in the same league back then. I spent a good 2 or 3 hours just exploring the Hazuki residence when I first got it.

II was a lot more action packed....I wonder if you would have liked that better, Yac. Not a lot of slow moments in that one.

As far as Shinobi designs go, the PS2 game (which kicked ass) had some great designs. Hotsuma in particular was great. I would also LOVE to see a statue of him and maybe even Hibana from Nightshade:

not as a new release, but i did play it before the dreamcast died so wasn't out too long. i loved the style and a lot of the game mechanics but some parts of it just dragged on so long for no reason, i remember one section in particular where you were climbing a building to get the bad guy on the roof and you had to go up like 30 flights of stairs where pretty much nothing happened on the way

But isn't that a part of most RPG's anyway , griding a certain number of times, before a certain battle?

At least with Shenmue, and that scene in particular, you knew as a player and in the story that the fat dude (forget his name) was at the top of the building, which made it all th emore exciting, finding out if Im finally on the last floor. Especially since Im engrossed in the story, like I was, and still am.

But I really think it boils down to many factors why you didn't like it that much.

1. I was a SEGA fan growing up, and still am to this day. My main childhood consoles were Sega consoles, and in the era of Dreamcast and Playstation 2, I was a Dreamcast follower all the way, who followed the preview of Shenmue religiously, all the way up to release. If you just had the Dreamcast as ‘another’ console at the time, and just picked up Shenmue because of the reviews, or word of mouth at the time, with no following or research behind it, that would have made a big impact in your distaste for the game. Had I have not been a SEGA fan all my life, I probably wouldn’t have warmed to the game as much, due to all the SEGA references in the games ,i.e/ arcade games, and slot machines etc. It was quite the experience, but mainly for the SEGA fanatics

2. Age can be a big factor too, how old are you or were you? You may have been older than me at the time of Shenmue’s release. I was only 15, so had quite the time on my hands to have a great gaming experience with it, over the Christmas holidays from school. I don’t think I ever remember putting the game down in a whole days sitting . If you were older, you probably had more commitments, and played the game in more sittings, thus lost touch with the games charm, before getting bored.

I would love for you to elaborate on why it didn’t warm to you as much. Im really curious.

29 now, so don't quite remember how old i was when i played, i did follow the game somewhat, not too much mind you but i was very intrigued by the "real world" setting and the way it was supposed to play. i applaud their concept i just don't remember having much fun with the actual game, i liked the fight and some of the training was fun, but overall i just found the game more boring then entertaining.

thats not to say if i played it again today i might not see it differently, it's not a bad game it just didn't grab me when i played it

Agreed with Samhain....being a longtime Sega fan definitely added massively to Shenmue's appeal. I spent hours collecting those capsule toys....Alex Kidd? Opa-Opa? Solo Wing? Hang-on bikes? YES.

All this Shenmue talk has me ready to hook my DC up here and play through I and II again.

O yea, fat guy was Dou Niu. I loved the entire yellow head building section......great fights, great QTE's, loaded with action.

Not really any Shenmue statues out there aside from the forklift Ryo. We need some
