Just saw WAR OF THE WORLDS no spoilers

Just saw a press screening thanks to a good friend of mine. This movie gives you the same feeling you had as the 9/11 attacks were unfolding. The directing, writing and acting were all solid and overall I would buy it on DVD to see again.

At first I though it was for real, and maybe it is, but him proposing on the weekend of her film release was pushing it. But forget that stuff, Cruise does a great job in the film.

I agree I wish they went back to the roots. I heard someone said that this flick sucked, but the person is very biased. I'm not a fan of Cruise though I do have Minority Report, I'm more of a fan of Spielberg's flicks. Especially all of Cruise's antics lately, proposing and going nuts for getting squirted in the face, he's getting on my nerves.

i am far from being a cruise apologist, as i think the guy definitely is more than full of himself. however, i thought he handled himself quite well with the twerp that squirted him with water at the premiere. thought that guy was an idiot and i'm sure he wouldn't have done that to anyone that he'd get punched in the face by, like russell crowe or sean penn. glad they arrested those morons.
