I wouldn't put too much weight on this. First of all it's second hand info, second of all WC is owned by SDCC, and this is one of their negotiation tactics as has been shown in the past. I hear they're going to need to do some remodeling to Moscone Center so... Although I will say, I don't know how much leverage WC has, it's no Comic Con. If anything, I think the MacWorld expo is what's more important to the people there. We'll see what happens. On the one hand it's way closer to me, on the other, I have enjoyed going up to SF for WC.

Yeah from what I've heard, they've tried this tactic when they threatened to move SDCC out of SD if the city didnt help them in some way. We'll see.

I dont think this is a tactic, the san fran convention center really is going to be having renovation during that time. I would go if it was in anaheim, and could make a family trip out of it.

That is correct that Moscone Center will be under reservation. This move to Anaheim is suppose to be just for one year. If it's in Anaheim this year, I do not plan on attending. I hope it stays some where in the Bay Area.

Yeah I was shocked. With gas and parking, it probably would not have cost me much more to just fly my family there.

One of our artist friends told us at DragonCon that there was a double booking for the date. He's happy about it, since it's a half an hour from his house. Whether it's this or renovations, it doesn't seem to be a permanent move at this time. If it is, my guess will be, SuperCon or Wizard World will probably move in.

Ive been to sdcc maybe 6 or 7 times. Last time i went there were nearly 150k people there, way too much for my family (2 boys/wife) to comfortably enjoy our time. Going to surprise everyone with a socal trip during spring break, with wondercon being one of the highlights. So excited!

I have to work Friday and I just cancelled my ticket for Saturday. The Mirror Mirror premier is Saturday and I have to get Julia. I figure after the premier is over I will have missed all the opportunities for autograph tickets in the day. Sunday I figure what's the point.

I went yesterday and it was a pain looking for parking. Convention parking was full due to some other events. We ended up parking at Disneyland. The convention itself was OK. I did not find anything that I would be able to add to my collection. Although the place was crowded.

I wish I had your instincts. We were looking for parking all over the place for about an hour and a half. When we asked the cops where we can park, they told us we have to go to Angel Stadium...FTW!!!! That is when we decided to park at Disneyland. Got a the EX Yoda for some fellow members but they did not have anything that I want to add to my collection.

Greats pics everyone. Glad everyone that went had a great time. I really really wanted to go. I lived near Anaheim but moved to Texas on December. I'm returning back so does anyone know if next year's Wondercon will be in Anaheim again?
