Do not have the mini-statues you mention but just got in the Optimus and Megatron. Very nice, much better than the Hard Hero pieces. If the minis have the same level of detail, they should be well worth it.

Just remebered, someone at my LCS brought in like all of these this week. He traded for some Star Wars statues. They were all selling for about $70CAD or about $58.00 US. What is retail?

55.00 seems to be retail..

As much as I liked some of the sculpts...those bases are a little too much for me. Too much damage on them...a little wouldve been enough but they went overboard.

I'm waiting for my Paradron Medic to arrive. AFX had this one on sale for $39.99 down from $65.00. I also pre-ordered my 6" Megatron from Palisades Website.

Now, My girlfriend bought me both 12" statues and rest I got on ebay and surprisingly cheap too. I got grimlock for $25 & Starscream for $30. Just a helpful hint.

Everyone seems to get started with a Transformers Statue Line and then just drops it..

So if a third company starts a line we will end up with another Megatron another Soundwave Another Optimus and then the line will end and we will never get to any of the better characters...

Not that we would be dropping it. With the movie though Hasbro may not want non movie tie in products comming out.

I just recieved my first one in the Mail...
I got Skywarp the smallblueplanet exclusive..

I like them..
There very cool looking..
And the metal rod for the hovering effect is a nice touch..

One thing that struck me odd was when you first open the box the statue is in pieces..lol..

Thats a shock..
Im not used to opening a statue and then building it...
But it makes alot of sence when you look at all the tiny parts that could break off...

But overall very cool..
I cant wait for my other 3 to come in..

I actually (almost :) ) feel sorry for the seller. I got the statue for only $20.51 and paid $8.70 for shipping & insurance. The box says he paid $9.70 to send it to me. He really should have included AP in the title.

Honestly you guys know I am a big TF fan but I really don't like these pieces. The Soundwave and Shockwave are cool but the Seeker jets don't look so good. Starscream has a terrible face sculpt. Its not that the whole run is bad but many of them just did not turn out. Also I did buy some like Starscream and Soundwave along with the convention Optimus so my thoughts are not just based on pics. I am not sure what happened to Wheeljack but I was not really impressed and he's my favorite Autobot.Having said that I am hopeful that Devastator will look good. I think the run may have been better if they continued with the full size sculpts they did of Megs and Prime. Then Devastator could have been 40" tall!

I almost completely agree with you, but I never bought either big Megs or Prime so I don't know if those are cooler or not. I'm a huge TFan also, and I can't help but feel disappointed too. They were definitely overpriced for their size, except that being relatively small you can display them very easily.

I will say this: they make an awesome TF display (as long as you don't spend too much time scrutinizing them). The G1 toys will always rock, those Japanese PVCs are great for cartoon accuracy, but these were kind of a cool middle ground. But it's kind of too bad. With a little more effort or luck (much improved face sculpts, not having to rely on Dreamwave, etc.) these would have been even better. Devastator does look sweet, so I hope I can find some extra quarters under the couch for that dude.
