Just a heads up for u guys. eBay # 120797876158

This looks like someone I have dealt with in the past. Slightly changed his ebay account name (also shows he just registered it sept) and tweaked his email account name. He also stated he has other items for sale which are not listed and will give u reasonable offers but make u sent payment through paypal directly.

he will likely they down the ebay listing once it hit a certain point in time. he is just trying to draw people in to purchase his other "pf" that he states he "has" but ull have to wire the payment directly through paypal

It's against eBay rules to solicit sales outside of eBay. Auction could be cancelled is someone reports it.

Can't you check the Username history to see if he's changed his name? You used to be able to check that.

To make it short I bought the gambit pf from him, I received it broken he shipped through ups, so they pick it up and wouldn't cover it due to bad packing. So ups shipped it back to him and I've been waiting for my refund for a couple of months. It sucks big time, and I know he's still here on the forum he checks in every two weeks.

Did you pay with paypal? If so, why didn't you file a claim?

Since he was forum member he said to save him money on taxes to send it as a gift. So I figured why not. Paypal said they don't file claims for gifts I tried to explain the situation but they couldn't help.

That really sucks. Wish I had some advice, but that is just a horrible situation.

Before sending money check feedback on the seller and not just looking at the number read some of the feedback.
Check all the rules for ebay and paypal to see if you're covered if something happens.
Don't do mail fraud to save the buyer money more times than not it will come back to bite you.
Don't trust someone just because they are members here because there's good and bad people on here.

First rule don't send payment as a gift. Second rule don't send payment as a gift

I don't understand why people send money as a gift anyway. You still have to pay the 3% don't you? Just tack on 3% and send it regularly. Still, rather eat 3% than get nothing. No sending as gifts ever. I know hindsight, forum regular and all that, but it's still the internet.

If you have your paypal account linked to your bank account when you send as a gift it doesn't cost anything when sending payment from that bank account.

I believe there is a fee now for sending it as a gift since PayPal started to catch on. But correct me if I'm wrong
