Need advice on joker bust

im in the early stages of painting this joker bust and im not sure if the green is right for the hair...the few people ive asked says it looks fine,,,but im on the fence with it....so please give me your opinions and suggestions... :buttrock:

i love it neon green, totaly 80's :laugh:

depends on your goal here: if it's indeed Caesar Romero "look", which is over-the-top and campy (intentionally, mind you), then definitely brighter green.

However, if it's Jack Nicholson, realistic, "Alex Ross" look, which is what the bust leans towards more from my viewpoint, then the green there is right on....

My vote: it's exactly on the mark. Leave It Alone. :)

Nope... THe Alex Ross Version is still a lot brighter than the army green it is now...

The reference I used for painting mine showed the Nicholson Joker's hair as a dark green. So I would basecoat the hair with a very dark green and then lightly drybrush with a lighter green. The finished pics in Wooktroop's post are by Rick Cantu, and I think he did a bang-up job on the bust.

I would not go for the Ceasar Romero look with the Nicholson Joker--too bright and garish. Check out the movie for more reference.
