I'm a nerd, I've never gone to concerts. i've only been to two concerts in my whole life where I wasn't working security (The Rollins Band).

Yes, a big pie eatin' brother saw the Rollins Band. 2x. Got to meet the little fu$#er to. He's tiny (5' 6"). Shaking his hand was like shaking daywalkers, oops sorry, I meant a little girls hand. But he's still muscular. But tiny.

I worked security for Pear Jam, Biohazard, Smashing Pumpkins (now I'm starting to show my age), the Offspring, and some others. Probably why I'm so hard of hearing...

No concerts in the summer, but I have tickets to Motley Crue in Phoenix for October. I bought them through the fan club, and they are guaranteed to be in the center in the first 15 rows. After seeing them once this year already, I can't wait for this show.

For those going to Alice Cooper / Cheap Trick, you're in for a good show...I saw them both at the state fair, and they put on great shows, although Cheap Trick was short because they opened for Heart... :banghead:

now that there is someone in NYC that will go ill let u know - btw u should go to gigantour at jones beach - great line up and tickets are dirt cheap when u compare the show to ozzfest - also gigantour has a better lineup this year the ozzfest does IMO i hate how 2nd stage at ozzfest is mainly hardocre bands and they all suck

Always liked Bruce. I prefer the music heavy but you can't argue wiht great song writing from Bruce or better style Bob Dylan. Regarding Anthrax one of my favs:) i think that former Armored Saint vocalist John Bush is a superior vocalist to Joey Belladonna. Brillant live band BTW.

You and me aint that much different brother. ALl my years of bouncing security, I can't deal with crowds either, the main reason I pass on concerts. I can barely get to a movie theater anymore, I go on a odd weekday matinee or something ususally. Oh yeah, and I'm a deaf MF from all those years as well...

I think there is a name for that fear, but I am not sure what it is.However,I am pretty sure that there is some sort of medication you can take for it.I think it is sad that you are so positive about not going and you have never even been to a live show.I am pretty sure all those reasons are just a wee bit on the extreme side.Sure all those things could happen, but you shouldn't live your life a certain way because of what might happen. You should give it a try at least once before you bash it.That first part was a joke by the way.I'm aware that there are people out there like that.

What part of "I DON`T LIKE CROWDS" don`t you understand?

I've got several hundred of these damn stubs somewhere. I have to find them. Later on when they started merchandising the hell out of concerts I would always pick up the programs and staple the ticket stubs to the back cover.

gs - and that's not even hit material, IMO. Why New West chose this as the single is beyond me. There's alot of great music on the CD. Hell, even has a rap song with Xzibit if you're into that.

I didn't like this song at first, but after a few spins, it grew on me.

Look, you gotta hand it to Alice.. being 57, touring every year and making a new CD at least every other year since 1970 is pretty impressive.

The CD comes out 8/2. Already out in UK (where I got mine).

I might be seeing ........wait for it........WHITESNAKE later this week. Not sure what line up it is, anybody remember a band called Blue Murder?
John Sykes rocks :buttrock: Their first album was the best.Jelly Roll,Valley of the Kings,Black Hearted Woman and the title track rock. That brings back a lot of memories. Now you made me dig that cd out.

John Sykes was the axe man on the 87 album but he had drug problems. He is a kick ass axeman for sure. His album with Thin Lizzy is also worth a listen. Have the first Blue Murder album did they make more. BTW give me Zak Wilde anyday. Love the stuff he is doing with BLS.

BLue Murders second release is definately worth getting for a song called "We All Fall Down" ... Can't go wrong with that pick at all. Anyone know what Sykes has been up too more recently? He isnt touring with the snake, which would be incredible to see!

Wife and I went to the county fair 3 times this week, so we could see:
Terri Clark
Ted Nugent
Trace Adkins
They all were good.:thumbs2:
Passing on Tesla tonight. Tired of the drive, and hope to put in 12 hours tomorrow. But I will miss hearing SIGNS live. :thumbsdow
Plan to go to another fair next week, but won't catch any concerts. Just to take the girls. :)

Apparently so. I first saw them live back in 1973. :)

I would think so. I was a big fan of their early work back in the '70s and early '80s. Kind of lost interest after that so I haven't been following them. I bought these tickets on a whim, for old times sake. Hopefully they won't disappoint.

ozzfest tommorow !!!!!! :buttrock: :buttrock:
How was Ozzfest?

go for the ZZ show - bust will always be there - better to see a show and get a bust later then to skip the show and regret it :buttrock:

Do you think it would be worth it?
Especially $34 for the lawn section.

I know I'm old, but I remember one summer in high school seeing 5 bands for $18.50 and later seeing 3 or 4 for $17.50.

Talking about Journey :buttrock:, Hagar, Bryan Adams, Triumph, Night Ranger, Joan Jett, Quit Riot, and Loverboy.

ozzfest was ok - ozzy was "sick" so sabbath didnt go on (prob drunk) - zombie tore it up - mudvayne palyed a good set - and maiden saved the night - maiden was fantastic :buttrock:

i got megadeth coming up on the 26th

and as for the zz top for $34 - yeah its worth it - its ZZ top !!! and $34 is cheap - ozzfest was $100 for crappy seats and my VIP tickets for megadeth where $350 ... i wish i could go to a show for $34
