Yeah his wide stance and head being tilted downwards are probably the reasons for the shorter measurement.

Looks amazing. I think this piece will be directly responsible for turning quite a few people onto the Koto line.

why wouldnt it be in scale?

It's listed as being 9.5" tall while the majority of the other statues are 11" so I think some people were concerned that it wasn't in scale with the rest of the line.
