SW Clone Wars, Which one are collectors Pre-Ordering?

Hi Collectors, I am new to this site. I found this site very helpful since I am also new to collecting statues. I missed out the previous Clone Wars line since I didn't know it was coming out. I would say that this line has to be the best SW product that came out. All other statues from the SW lines(SS/Attakus) are pretty similir from one another and very expensive for normal collectors.

Anakin - Doesn't look too impressive, nothing special about this product. It looks like the cartoon but the statue itself looks plain and boring.

Grievous - I like the color of the statue and the details involved with the design. It's nothing like SideShows Grievous but it's also $350 less. Too bad it only came with 1 saber and the stance looks kiddish. This maquette stands 10inch tall which means your getting your money's worth, its the biggest one from all 7 statues.

Barriss Offee & Luminara Unduli - I also like this maquette because it includes two Jedi's. Yes, the price is $15 more than the standard maquettes(not including Yoda) but it looks so much more cooler than the rest of the line. They're in battle stance! Barriss Offee & Luminara Unduli will only be released through this line, meaning SS, Attakus, and other companies will never produce these characters, it makes it pretty special since only GG will release them.

All the Clone Wars maquette characters are excellent! If you haven't seen the Clone Wars cartoon show I suggest watching it. You'll understand why these statues are in demand and why collectors are trying to find these to complete their SWs collection. I'm debating which maquette's I wanna pre-order, all three looks good but I am interested on a maquette which will fetch more once I resale it. Since I never bought the 1st wave, I don't know whether the value of each maquette went down/up when it hit retail stores, when exactly did they start selling out? I heard that they were on the shelves for sometime, some were even on sale.

By the way, can anyone confirm if the other 3 characters will also be limited to 2500 or will they release this only once the Pre-Order stage is done. I'm just curious whether they tell you before hand. Padme was limited to 1000, hopefully none of these will so majority of the collectors will get them. The laggers will just have to pay extra for them.

The "run" I believe is TBD, or more reallistically "TBR"...
Which? All of them. I can't see them losing value...and the way some of the "older" pieces have gained it seams to be a win-win situ. Some of the pieces may not gain as much but they're sure to gain...
The double piece...may gain as it's the only double...but the characters are slightly obscure...true fans know them, and I like the pce. more because it's obscure...but the main collectability of Padme is the limited run in addition to the "demand", not in spite of it.

How fast did these maquette sell out after they hit retail stores? I'm pretty sure once they came out the value didn't sky rocket right away. I'm curious how long collectors have to wait before the value of these maquette go up, I'm guessing once GG is sold out collectors will dicdate the value. Christmas is only around the corner once these are released, I might just hold several pieces and sell them off then.

I concur, the main reason why Padme's value is so high is because of the limited amount made and the demand from the collectors. I doubt GG will make the other unreleased characters to a limited run of 1000, if they do I'm sure tons of collectors will be frustrated with them, unless its an exclusive piece. I doubt it though, seems like they are doing a good job with the limited runs and how they distribute it. Does anyone knows if any of the 1st waves were allocated during shipment?

I have them all on pre order from my local shop. I like so many others would love to see a mace along with other jedi and we need more clone troopers. Still need a Padme to be complete though. If anyone can hook a brother up it would be much aprreciated.

Hey wooktroop, how the heck do you like Anakin from all maquettes. His stance isn't even all that impressive, the color looks real plain, the way he looks all together is boring. Compare that to Grievous who has more color to say the least. The two Jedi girls just look good compared to the other two. I think Anakin will bring the least out of all of maquettes, probably right beside Yoda. Depending on the release I still think collectors will get the others first before the Anakin.

i love the GG clone wars busts but this wave disappointed me pretty much. anakin came out well although i never much cared for him as a character. i was however looking forward to the grievious ever since i saw him in his first episode of clone wars, but instead of some cool jedi butt kicking pose we get him....waving . yes yes i know he's actually telling his army to halt...but it looks like waving when he's just standing there alone, so a poor pose to choose. then theres the jedi chicks, i really don't have a problem with the actual piece so much as i was hoping for the 2 jedi from the final season who did battle with Grievious, they were just about my favorite characters from the series and they had a substantial role in the cartoon yet they will never be made into any figures or anything and this wave of maquettes was really my last hope in ever getting anything made of them. oh well, sorry to get so off topic but i didn't really see any other clone wars discussions att he moment
and now for no reason heres the 2 jedi i'm praying will some day get the collectable treatment they deserve

I don't think its been announced officially but I wouldn't be surprised to see it released in early November when Ep.3 comes to DVD.

Here in the uk there are still a few yoda's and troopers and the odd obi-wan knocking about in shops arpund the country at retail prices so some are still obtainably for those who have not got them all yet and no sorry no padme's! Not alot come into the uk i think 20-30 but i maybe wrong!
My shop got the 1 so I snaged it not know it would be so valuable. Hard to think I only payed £25 considering the value now!

And sorry I will not sell her.

How long did it take for the previous statues to sell out? I didn't collect the previous statues but I am interested about their sales. How long did the statues stay in retail stores until they were sold out? GG's asking price of $80 each sounds very reasonable. I think all the Clone Wars maquette that has a limited run of 2500 is worth at least $130. I'm just comparing them to other statues out in the market with the same limited run.

well padme was the first to go then obi-wan. Asi ventress was popular so was the trooper but seems to be a few still around so i guess not as popular as the others the yoda altho they made 7500 sold very well due to the low price but u can still find a few here there. In all they sold well but not fast.

The yoda came out first and i thought it was kool but didn't think of getting him. But then obi-wan and padme were released and that is what got me collecting them.
