Wow this piece really surprised me. First off it's Huge. Much bigger then I realized. Second the Hulk Sculpt is Great. My only issue? Like I said the thing is Huge. I really had no place to put it. I tried but no luck. I could have displayed it with out the back but that would have defeated the purpose. I really loved it as the whole diorama. It also is basically two statues. You get Hulk and Banner. Very cool. However do to the size I ended up selling it. But if anyone is interested it usually sells for around 100.00 - 150.00. Not bad at all.
Face sculpt - Hulk 4 out of 5 Banner 2.5 out of 5 - Only thing keeping Hulk from being a perfect 5 is that he looks a little to much like Frankenstein. Yes he looked a bit like that in issue one but not this much. Regardless it is really well Done. Banner is good from straight on but can look akward from other views.
Body Sculpt - Hulk 5 out of 5 - Banner 4 out of 5 / Pose - Hulk 5 out of 5 - Banner 5 out of 5 - Total - Hulk 5 out of 5 - Banner 4 out of 5
This is an area that the statue shines. First off the Hulk statue is about the size of a Bowen. He is a bit more massive then the original #1 Hulk but it works and it looks great. In fact his arms and hands and feet are almost as big as the comiquette. Banner is sculpted well but just not as well done as Hulk. The pose on both is perfect as it is ment to look like issue 1 and it does.
Paint - 4.5 out of 5 for both Banner and Hulk are both painted very well. Even though Hulk is all grey (like issue 1) it is really well done with great shadowing. Banner even has a 5 o'clock shadow. No issues at all.
Base 5 out of 5 - I really thought the backdrop was going to made out of cardboard or something. It is also made out of hard resin type material. Really great. It painted well and has Ross and Betty on there also in the background, again just like the comic. The Incrdible Hulk letttering is done on plexiglass type material and is raised away from the back drop to give it that 3-D effect.
Overall - 5 out of 5 - This piece is really underrated I think. I don't see it in a lot of collections and it is not often talked about. It really is a great bang for your buck and if you are a Hulk fan and have the room this piece is a must IMO. The fellow Freak I sold it to also could not get over how nice it was.
