Hi guys, please if you want your statues signed. No need to have Yamato ship my way, as a matter of fact I am on my way to Yamato and will sign a few of them. Just let them know you want me to sign yours and I will gladly drive over there.
Thanks!

Erick said you could ship it to him, he'll still sine the base of her, so you could just send him your base :D
maybe :D
One good thing tho Vallos.. you may be getting one of the lowest numbers from production because they sent it early

Thanks for the suggestion, Hotrod, but I can live without the signature, although it would have been nice to have. Getting a low edition number does not depend on when they send it, but which number they pick off the shelve. It's always random.

Great work, Erick. Thanks for the clear pics. The work and paint on her is superb. Skin looks super subtle, just the way I like em :D

I hope thats not true.. but I can see that tho.
Erick said he'd be more than happy to sine the base, so I'm thinking of getting the regular version if her broken wings, if she looks as good as the pics :wink2:

Erick, this would be great, I would love to get mine signed. My version of 'Broken Wings' edition has not yet shipped, but it might be tomorrow. Let me know if there is anything I should do (to have them wait on shipping her) to allow for a signature. I can take this to PM/email. Thanks! :)

Here is #5 of 150.

It looks like Yamato is on a streak as they hit another home run with this piece. The paint application is excellent and the sculpture by Erick is top notch. The production run is on par with the prototype as these photos will attest to. There two flaws I see, although that is debatable. First, she is not properly flushed on the base, causing her left hand to not touch the rock. It's not a deal breaker, as I see it now as an action pose as she is making her landing on the rock. Second, I can't seem to attach her breast plates. Either I am very inept, or they simply don't work as I can't seem to understand if they clip on or not. Regardless, having her without them is not a bad thing! Overall, this is a phenomenal job by Yamato. These last two releases (Ritual 1:4) have set the bar high for them. Keep up the good work, Yamato!

Sorry.. you didn't get a low number on Ritual, what's your number on her if I may ask :D

Oh..you know me...haha...I'll probably go on for ever LOL once I get me girls :D

I got a lot of work coming my way ..hehehe.."I'm so excited !!"...one of me Grails are on the way.. haven't heard from me supplier yet on Ritual tho :(

Edit: (your Edition) 84 / 500 is low.. its below 100

Vallos
06-06-2012, 10:44 AM
Yes, but it's not below 10! Frankly, the numbers really don't matter to me. If anything it is a cool novelty to have, but as long as the statue is good, I could care less what number it is... well, except if it was a 1. lol

Yeah..but I like the edition size..it's better than none at all (IMO), having a limited number shows to me, I'm an elite few that has the peace plus
lower numbers are the better part of a run, once a mold has been through several hundred runs,
imperfections start.. so.. for me its important
Heck I'd love to have 1 through first one hundred of any one of me peaces..
some of the statues are way over 500pcs / 5,000pcs, so to get any thing under 100 is just awesome to me :wink2: & :D

Congrats tho bro, were defiantly a lucky group to get these beautiful peaces of art :buttrock::buttrock:

Yep.. Like Vallos.. said theirs a alternative :D or call them like blueyell.. said

I got her last night.. :itsb: so tiered last night but did open her and got her put together, didn't take pics but will soon.
She's so huge.. she's no# 40/150.. the only thing I can say is "Yamato, you hit her out of the ball park !!"
Now that I have me grail, now I can't wait to get her regular version for the wife :D

Her skin tones were on the money, the nails are so real like.. each finger looks real, haha.. I wonder if they have the prints LOL
now her hair is wonderful.. its so much better than the pics, color app..to the paint.. is glowing to me.. OMG and her face..
If I could say.. she doesn't look exactly like her photo but hell she's so cute..its almost imposable to repeat, Erick did it just as
good, she looks more adult looking than the picture IMO.. love her eyes, their breath taking.. I wanna keep looking at them.
The wing's.. are very well done, much better than the original ones IMO, the wings look like feathers, not like hair, witch is okay
but not as good and they look more 3D, than the other one, because of the holes, witch makes me feel their more realistic "!",
The paint app on them could have had a bit more work but that would have added more cost I'm sure of that.
Now to the sword and breast plates and Rose, those are awesome, the sword looks like it could of been made into two peaces,
Erick, putting his name on it was a great idea and IMO looks great.. you almost don't even notice its their, the plates would have
been better if they were magnets or clips, but they look good for the size and detail, just wished they could of been easier to attach
and remove, with out doing any modifications to them., the Rose is one of the best roses I've ever seen done on a statue.. let alone
one thats open and as much detail that was taken to do it..IMO.. the rose would have been awesome if it had two leafs on it..
but it still looks awesome and it fit very well to the statue.
Only a few things I didn't care for much, with her .. the wings could of been broken where the feathers could of been removed, IMO
it would of looked better, a few feathers were left on witch would of looked better/realistic if took 'en off IMO !
The breast plates should of had some type of attachments, I had to use double sided sticky tape, to get them on and
to be able to display her in the case (hoping the paint does not peal off if I go to remove the plates w/the tape).
Putting her on her base was a pain...and could of easily damaged her, because her fingers will hit her base if your not very careful (!),
I would recommend taking your time and maybe remove a little paint around the attachment area's (leg & base), watch her fingers
when you go to attach her to her base..and all should be good :thumbs2:

THANK YOU SO MUCH ERICK for signing her, you rock Sir :buttrock::buttrock:

Thx Vallos.. Sir,
She's one peace I will admire for a long time :D
How you like my right up ?
Did I miss anything...

Edit; Oh... you know...I'm thinking of maybe down the road finding another one of her,
so, maybe I can cut the wings, more clean like and repaint them plus
I'm thinking.. finding those beads that she's got on her outfit and make the plates
fit more easily..maybe more for the manor of removing them, for spechial guess that
come to visit :) also make a base for the plate to sit on too :)

Received mine 007/150.
Not very impressed with having to use blue tack to hold on breast plates. Its already rubbed the paint off the nipples as lining up the breast plates is awkward.
This will be my first and last Yamato piece.

I tried everything except glue and tape to secure those plates. I just left them off. While I prefer them off, it would be nice to have the option to cover her breasts. I have concluded this is a defect. Hotrod, how did you put yours on?

:hi: Vallos..

I used double sided sticky tape.. but I'm thinking a soft putty would do better and not agitate the paint !
I'm also thinking that rubber sticky stuff that my credit cards are sent to me from the mail might work too.
Long term.. I'm thinking of getting some clear fishing string and clear tape..to wrap around her
and attach the string to the plates w/tape.
That way they can be removed..when ever I want & not damage the paint at all.

Vallos

Just remember to keep the plates off her for a bit longer..for the paint to cure (usually 30-60days).

I really think I'm going to avoid using any type of adhesive to her plates..w/any chances of the paint..

Vallos

If I may chime in, I can attest to its positive qualities. It’s a fine sculpture and will be wonderfully displayed in any collection, especially if you have a fantasy collection line. The exclusive offers more in that it’s very limited at 150, color variation and different wings. While I would not say its stunning, or “jaw dropping”, it is by no means lackluster. It evokes a classy and refined aurora similar to the source material. I have no regrets with my purchase as I am more than happy with it. It is a statue that is permanently a part of my collection.

Haha.. I guess.. if your calling bad reviews.. those who are complaining of the breast plate's.. the only issue (?)..
I wouldn't worry to much.. If you love fantasy, like I do.. Yamato/Erick and Master Shin T. did an awesome job on her !!
I highly recommend her to any one.. just be careful and take your time.. putting her together and
all should be well.. I hope you get her and like her.. if you are on the fence..
you might want to do something soon tho.. as she's only 150pcs/500pcs (world wide), that wont last..
She's one of the biggest & most beautiful angels I've ever seen in my collection.. that had any detail and not overly done
like some other statues I've seen or have..
I just wished I could mold her wing's or get another set.. I'd love to get the chance to clean up the spare ones and
repaint, maybe cut out a few of the feathers and add some skin tone..
also take some of the damage around the broken parts of the wing's.. like the bone & flesh n' improve them.
I'd also like to make the wing's slightly darker around the feathers..like a shadow or
depth to the feathers.. then she would be a (My Grail- top three pcs) master peace in my collection IMO :D
I hope that helps you ?

If you want mine, make me a reasonable offer and you can have it. I boxed it back up and shoved it in a corner.
