Bullseye, I may be sculpting one for my growing Spidey collection.

I did two different spideys, a 2099 version, I have a venom piece that I'll eventually finish, as well as my Green Goblin figs. These are things I've been trying to get done for myself for a while now. When I get to Carnage, I'll let you know.

#90 here in Texas. The tendrils definitely need to be moved, but I'll probably wait until later. They seem to have curved toward him instead of the outward motion intended. There is a nice note telling you how to remedy this, though, so I'll get to it at some point.

Not sure how I feel about having him next to the Venom 3-pack yet. Base is the same, yet the red coloring makes it feel very different...

FOG -

I was in Las Vegas last week on the HOTTEST DAY ON RECORD. It was 117 degrees.

I had bought a HELLBOY mini bust without a box, so I wrapped it up in several plastic bags. Then I forgot it in the car....

The outside bag was shrink-wrapped around the bust, from the heat. The bust wasn't damaged, but you understand why the parking garages have signs about leaving your pets in cars.

Vegas, J.M. and J., I'm talking about the freakin' heat here in NE pa. I'll have to hurry home from work so that when the Scarlet Witch gets here it won't explode, Vegas did you see Dan Tana in his red thunderbird. You'll have to come down to see my collection someday, building new glass cased lighted shelves for my new house, let you know when it's finished, probably around the holidays when it's a little cooler then I'll be *****in' it's to cold. I missed out on the HELLBOY but my cousin who lives in the WASH.,DC area is getting me one, there are some really great stores there, he got me alot of the BD stuff I missed a while back now I have them all.

Jesse321
07-27-2005, 10:15 PM
It's actually not that dark it's just the angle of the shot and the fact that my camera battery died with that shot.

I'll try again tomorrow when I get some fresh batteries.

Found fresh batteries in the fridge .. forgot I had them.

The transparent qualities of the hand and tenticles are WICKED COOL!

The tenticles are also a soft plastic, so you can easily pose them with a hair dryer and some cold water.

I got mine today.
Very nice.
Only have two compaints. Mmmm, only 2. I rarely have one. :peoples:
Anyway, #1. Mouth seems sorta pink. Don't like it.
#2. Too tall.
Went to put it next to Mysterio and he wouldn't fit on the shelf.
Had to move up to the next self, placing him next to Doc Ock.
Any taller, he'd have to go one more, next to Morbius.
Looks like I'll have to build another self for the back wall of the computer room. :banghead:

I just saw Carnage at the LCS. Wasn't something I wanted as I already have the Attakus Eagle Rock FS which is enough for me, but the paint really seems light and plastic-looking on the bust. The sculpt is also kind of busy with tendrils both from the figure and the base. Between the paint and the tendrils hard to see any details.

I am glad people who ordered like it, but I would have been disappointed.

You're just jealous you don't have one of these... :eplus2:

Seriously, I kind of like the 'busy look' of the tendrils, I think it helps capture the look of this character.

I do agree on the coloring, that semi-translucent red looks plasticy to me also...

First thing I noticed is that this piece is very light... I grabbed a box and thought I picked up an empty one. If I didnt know any better I would have thought it was made of plastic as well.. Still, picked it up and can't wait to get it home.

I saw this up close at my LCS this week...it's actually a really cool sculpt--I like the effect of the "goo" on the base, and the translucence really works for the piece overall. Great effect.

I still had to pass, though, simply because I just don't like the character. But once again, Randy and the folks at BD have made me actually want to buy, if only for a moment, a character that I have zero interest in, just because it's so well executed. Nicely done, Randy & Co.

Very wicked looking bust......you can use a hairdryer to position the tendrils the way you want them :)

.. but just like with Doc Ock and his bend-o-tentacles or Mr. Sinister with flex-o-cape, these just don't seem like busts in their purest form.

Frankly, I'd rather not have to shape my busts. This one's on it's way to eBay.

I was admiring my newest bust when I caught my reflection in the computer monitor and THOUGHT I saw A hair out of place. I panicked and with the hand holding the Carnage mini bust, I went to correct this SERIOUS situation.
Needless to say, the bust bounced off my head and shattered on the ground!
