It might be the angle but if its not I will talk to Jerry about it and we will fix it. :) Hi legs are big and powerful from other angles. That angle he is foreshortened so you cant get the full effect of his awesome pose. Hes is pretty big and massive and ready to layeth the smack downeth!

I would hope the cape was optional Classic Shao Kahn never had a cape in battle. And in this particular pose he is in battle and I wouldnt want the cape to hide all the awesome details that John put into this thing.

yup, similar look, plus the statue has a sort of stoic pose anyway (it is an action pose but can double up as stoic for one of Kahn's signature poses). Also the throne base is not as distracting, it suits him being the Emperor. Though I want to pick up some characters from the MK9 line, I want to make this Kahn work for the classic line for the time being too.

As for Kintaro, Motaro.. man.. it would be wild do see all these huge mythological bosses and monsters immortalised in statue form.. let's hope Goro gets enough support to jusitfy the others being released.. and it will..

You are right about that I think people including myself just picture him towering over the other characters and the 18 inch seems small. Either way I will be getting him.

He will still look huge of abnormal proportions.. picture Zangief for example, he's shorter than the rest in the 1:4 SF line and looks 'fairly big' in pics.. but in person he is just a shelf hog of mass proportion.. you have to think diameter for 3d objects

I could kiss you right now, Jerry. I mean it (in a straight, brotherly kind of way :D) I mean, let's look at it. How many companies would actually renegotiate to maintain prices or even bring prices down? Most negotiations end up as extra profit but the end user doesn't see the benefit. In the statue world, I would think you're the first to share it with his friends on the forum.

Right now the plan is that every month we announce a new MK statue. One month MK9, the next Klassic, so on and so forth.

We currently have enough sculpts done to get us to April !

We are committed to Mortal Kombat and we feel our design/sculpting and painting are far superior to any other MK products on the market.

We have also renegotiated with our factories and this should keep our prices from increasing any time soon. In fact, you will see prices on some pieces coming down !

the difference has nothing to do with physical apperence or clothes, but on pose and the fact that i don't want him standing on some elaborate base next to my nicely posed ninjas

I believe that it is some time in January,I cannot find the exact post at the moment but I believe Jerry did mention that every month there will be a new MK news or pre-order. With Kitana being up on December 20 and Klassic Scorpion up for pre-order. I believe it is a given that Shao Kahn will be January.

As much fun as the whole email thing is, I can only take it in small doses. I really want to collect the whole line, but don't want to leave every PO to chance. Hope a more "efficant" system is put in place for future pieces.

SS's scorpion EX took 5 hours to sell out, I can handle that...at least I have a shot. Unlike reptiles 1.5 minute sell out. Exciting as hell! But don't know if I can take the stress for every PO.

Ya but the thing is I asked Jerry that question once and he said the e-commerce site (cart system) wont be up till Feb and he was mentioning that the Shao Kahn will be sold in January, which makes it a possibility that it follow the mailing system. Like mentioned already, statues selling out in less than 2 minutes is crazy. I'd probably lose interest in the line if that becomes the standard. :(

Perfectly summed up! While I cannot financially buy the whole line the ones that I do want I want to be sure I can get them without having lady luck on my side. I can see the whole thing like Alex being for characters that are less popular but there has to be a better opportunity for people to get the popular characters. I'd be fine if all the popular characters had the edition size of the classic Scorpion.

Only time will tell, with the way Jerry is going ANY character could be made it seems and sell out instantly... and hey... after all Motaro WAS in mk9... just very briefly =)

The bosses have changed very slightly in the years compared to the normal characters so there isn't much need to do the bosses in "classic style"

MK9 is every bit as popular if not moreso than the Klassics. The games usually set a precedent for other collectibles of the same license...usually. There is a reason why MK9 is the most popular fighter this generation of systems, and also why it was voted the best fighter in numerous publications. And trust me, it wasn't just due to the gameplay.

going by the release schedule, December is MK9 with Kitana, January is Klassic (Probably female character since we've gotten 2 klassic male ninjas in a row), and February is MK9 again. February is most likely Shao Kahn since we've already seen some sneaks of him.

Well if they 'reset' the schedule at the start of the year, then he'll be up in Jan (MK9), then klassic in Feb, mk9 in march - and so on.
