Alright I am considering this line...but....I need to know a couple of things..
1) How many pieces has he done so far?
2) Is there a list of the ones done and already solicited?
3) Are they all still available at reasonable prices?

thanks for any help

1) I believe Kotobukiya is a company, not a person. I could be wrong. As for the number of figures, let's see...
2)
Darth Vader I
Darth Vader II (not yet released)
Darth Maul
Stormtrooper/Luke
Scout
Sandtroopers (3 different ones with different poses...they have white, orange, and black shoulder pads)
Clone Troopers (these are merely color variants...the poses are identical...neutral, red, yellow, and blue)
E3 Clone Trooper (not yet released)
Boba Fett
Jango Fett
Mace Windu and Yoda I
Yoda II
Obi-Wan Kenobi
Anakin
Dark Side Anakin (not yet released)
Han Solo
Chewbacca

I think that's it. If I missed one or two, hopefully someone will add them. Excluding the clone trooper color variants, that makes 20 figures. Including them, there are 23 figures. I personally don't consider color variants different figures, but you may.

3) Almost all of them are available at reasonable prices. I am not sure about the clone troopers and sandtroopers. Some of them might be more rare and thus more expensive.

This site tells you how rare things are...http://www.sandtroopers.com/julian/kotobukiya/

Apparently, the Red Clone Trooper, Yellow Clone Trooper, Sandtrooper Corporal (black shoulder pad/pauldron), and Sandtrooper Sergeant (white shouder pad/pauldron) were each limited to 1,000 pieces. The Blue Clone Trooper is supposedly rarer than those 4 though. The site doesn't say just how rare though.

If you're a completist, obtaining those 5 figures (3 of them are just color variants) might be expensive.

for the most part, they are very affordable, vinyl which means they will last a fall and very detailed/nice.

I think they produce the most detailed pieces. But i can't get past the vinyl.

I wouldn't call them toys, you really can't play with them, but they're great display pieces. Alot better then the Unleashed figures for sure.

Terrible? I think that's a bit harsh.

I have the Yoda. It's definitely not terrible. I don't think the others are either. Some of them do have issues, however.

...yoda is not too bad.. but you can see the seams where arms connect to body...I have it...chewbacca it's terrible..looks like a big action figure :puke2: ... anakin doesn't look like anakin at all... neither han or luke. first vader is ok, second looks bad. boba is good..I have it....jango looks like a super janitor.... so yes, most of them looks terrible to me...best ones are the troopers

You think the first Vader is just OK? If Vader doesn't do much for you, why even bother to collect the line? Some of the troopers have issues, too, by the way. The sandtroopers' eyes are too narrow for instance.

...sorry...but I collect whatever I want..if you don't like to hear my opinion... don't show me yours.....yes....first vader it's just ok....the pose isn't that good and this toy can't even stand right without shaking..built really cheap...troopers are the best ones...

Ghost

But why would you even collect something you don't like or think is just "ok"?

comicfan

...ok means good to me....it's good for the price...and I don't collect all....just some...wish they all were good..for the price would be great..

Ghost

Ok that makes better sense. I'm the same way. I don't collect everything out of every line I collect the select few that I think are great or appeal to me. Thanks for clearing that up.

The author of the thread didn't even ask for opinions, and I didn't say what I thought about any of the figures until you came in and said a bunch of them are terrible. My Vader comment was unnecessary, but I agree with Ghost. I don't see the point of buying figures you aren't that impressed by. And if Yoda is so terrible, why keep him?

..it's what ppl call bang for the buck...not the worse..not the best..some are just ok....and some really bad...and I glued yoda..still can see the terrible seams..but it's a little better...vader had his feet glued on the base also....he couldn't even stand alright anymore.... poor toy...

You have to see Yoda Statue in person, it's fully detailed, picture doesn't do justice to this little piece. I have it and it's very nice. IMO
