New Street Fighter Female Character

I was bored and thought it would be fun for us to use our best intuition and detective skills to try and guess who the new female Street Fighter character is that Jerry referenced in the "official ask Pop Culture Shock thread".


There is a 1:4 SF Female being sculpted right now


Ok lets think about this.

Not SF2 because Cammy and Chun Li have been done.

I doubt it's a revisit because it's too soon and there are so many other female characters out there.

I believe Jerry is more old skool so I think it's a female that appeared in Third Strike or the Alpha series.
In fact I think it's probably a character he's done before for Sota Action figures.

I'm thinking Rose, Sakura or Ibuki. I don't think it's Makoto.

If Jerry did do SF4 it could be Juri or Viper.
From a design stand point I think these two would be appealing to Jerry.

OK. I'm going to guess......hmm. Sakura?

its simple, dont do cloth on rose and just use cloth for the scarf. otherwise it will look like a doll as a whole outfit in cloth, just sculpt the outfit.

Yeah it could be the Alpha Chun Li. Who knows. No real hints to guess from.

This is probably the last thing Jerry is doing that I think I know what it is. He mentioned it over the summer when I was over there.

3) balrog
4) dhalsim (could be very cool sculpt)

Here are some thoughts.

1. It has to make business sense. Jerry has to feel it will be popular enough to sell well.

2. Jerry has knowledge of which characters sold the best at Sota. This is reassuring info to have from a business standpoint.

3. Again, from a business standpoint, it would be a safer bet to go for a character that's been around for a long time (not just SF4) because the potential audience for that character is bigger. E.g. a character like Rose was in Alpha and SF4.

4. Just to screw up thoughts 1-3.....Jerry is an artist and at the end of the day picks characters that he is motivated to bring to life from an artistic standpoint. E.g. Sodom for Sota.

5. He likes characters with a good story and/or appealing design. He talks about Sakura in my interview as someone with a good story, whilst Cannon Spike Cammy
has an appealing design.

6. Much that I'd welcome Alpha Chun Li I don't think it's her. The last female release was Chun Li. Seems odd to repeat a character.

Putting my preferences aside. I keep coming back to Sakura.....

while the head is good, not feeling the cloth. just doesnt work for me as a statue. Just like a lot of other PF statues full cloth makes them look like dolls.

Agreed, I still think fully sculpted is the best. I'm hoping PCS's Ryu and Akuma revisits are fully sculpted.

Ya i think maybe Sakura would be a safe bet,next to chun-li and cammy there are alot of sakura stuff around it think, this would be a welcome additon for me,as this is like the ryu of the female side w/ kirin like the ken counterpart :)

boo i knew someone was going to catch that! but i think he will make a nice statue, fei was one of the most noticeable character in super sf2. That game arguably wasted more of my life as a kid than any other single thing i did.

When it comes to female statues the golden rule is sex sells..Not hard surprising since 99% of statue collectors are male. If its not Alpha Chun Li (hands down, the sexiest SF of them all). The statue simply will not sell unless she exudes sex appeal. I have no doubt it'll be one of these 3 lovely SF ladies..each would be an instant sellout:

Yes Jerry please do another cammy in the future a newer sexier version. The original one was not my cup of tea. Also love the revisits to bring in new fans who missed the first versions. It brought me into this line knowing I have a chance to get the first characters. ;)

Please Jerry, cheap revisits of every character so Comicbookguy can have the "sexy" versions. With "modern" poses.

i couldnt agree more!! Yes Jerry, please remake all the previous characters so new collectors like comicbookguy can hav a chance owning them.
