Daredevil Full Size Question

Is the full size Daredevil statue one or two pieces? (base and statue like the mini).

The Red is 2 pieces, exactly like the Black Widow and Elektra.

I don't have the Yellow one, so I can't say on that one.

i dont have the mini so not sure if theyre 2 pieces but i know for sure both the FULL SIZE of red ver. and yellow ver. are one piece and have a hollow base making it very light

I'm pretty sure I have picked up my full size red and lifted the statue clear of the base. Maybe I'm delusional?

I do know that 2 months after getting it the paint started flaking off the base. Maybe I'm getting confused and thinking of the paint chip to be the second piece?

I just picked up both of mine by thier necks and the base didn't come crashing down on my shelves. Like I said, they are both 1 piece.

OKAY, either someone has some fake pieces floating around, everyone is yanking each others chains, or they were put out both ways by Bowen, which doesn't seem likely to me.

Full Sizes are one piece.. mini statues are two pieces.

Well, I know there are 2 piece recasts floating around out there and it was pictured on this forum :thumbsdow . Is there a chance you own a recast?

Bowen mentioned that they changed the design to their statues after daredevil (which was the first ever full size) so that there would be less chance of breaking..

Full Size Red is definitely one piece, the mini is two.

I just talked to Heather and both DD's are supposed to be 1 piece. "Back then they were being made in one piece with hollow bases to prevent stress on the connection points, it was only later that the statues were made in 2 pieces"

From a vendor at a con in Orlando, I only paid retail for it, so it's not that big a deal, it just pisses me off that I will have to find another one.

Sorry to hear about that...This is one of the main reasons that I am so vocal against anything that appears to be a recast.

There are many recasts in the market, but they are so well done that it's hard to distinguish if they are original or not.

I hope you get a hold of that seller and give him a piece of your mind. Also, let us know who we need to look out for.

Thanks for the info guys. The reason I asked was I just got my full size DD today and was surprised to see that it was one piece. I expected two pieces like the Elektra and Black Widow. I thought the guy I purchased it from crazy glued the base on or something. I can now breath a sigh of relief.

Thanks DevilsDrifter for making that clear. Had a chance to buy it for $235.00 but I'd figure that maybe sometime in the future . . . I can acquire it in a trade.

I totally brain farted, I just got home and checked out my DD red, not only is it one piece, it is CONSIDERABLY lighter than either the Elektra or Black Widow.

I've NEVER been so happy to be so completely wrong in my life !!! Thank GOD my better half didn't find out about this, or I would NEVER hear the end of it !!! :laugh:

DD RED is one piece for sure I recently got this statue and I have to say the base is very light but the paint job is the most amazing paint job I heve ever seen on any statue.

Yep, 'cept the base is much heavier. I can see why it, and Thor, suffers from BAS (busted ankle syndrome) so often. This is why I have no problem with Randy going to 2 piece statues.
