With our other voting Thread we saw that Fei Long and Gouken are winning - but this thread is not just for the Vote's but for general post's what you think about Street fighter 3 has a whole .

and why you think a certain character should be made next -.

Also - we can discuss things like would you want a remake of akuma Ken , Ryu and Chun Li from how they are drawn in SF3

I think if you look at the character design of the streef fighter 3 characters its amazing - and it actually has a indepth story

I think this is the coolest Ryu Yet - the one from SF3 much more serious I agree about the Ken

I love the SF3 cast. If Ryu, Ken, Chun Li, and Akuma hadn't been in it (but were replaced by actual new characters), it would have one of the best casts in any fighting game.

Wow!! I can't tell if your being serious or not but, without those characters it's not Street Fighter. Especially without Ryu. Oro is pretty cool, but is no way comparable to any of the four mentioned.Also for the record Ibuki is a far more interesting character than Oro will be, and is more recognizable by SF fans.

Agree Oro is awesome, my top four in SFIII were Alex, Makoto, Hugo & Oro.
Now Alex is done so I want one of these to be done next, I wouldn't mind Urien or Gill too

Oro doesn't really follow the stereotypes and cliches anyway. He's definitely a lot weirder than that. For starters, he isn't burdened by age like your typical old master such as Gen. If anything it seems to make him stronger since he practices a hermit style. He is also very strange looking as opposed to just being a buff guy with white hair. Usually the problem is that age is coming up to them so they are getting weaker and seek a final battle, but with Oro he's just too strong and no one can offer him a challenge so now he has to find and teach someone (for probably many decades) just in the hopes that they will entertain him.

He seems to just be a bored guy. He falls asleep mid battle and rather talk to you about his turtles than anything else. I love him he's hilarious and nothing like your typical old master guy.

Most of them are, I think your referring to Elena for the dark skin female, Hugo is the big guy with the long black hair both of those are from SF3. The girl in the school uniform is Sakura She first appeared in Street Fighter Alpha 2.

Cool thanks so much! I loved sf and stop playing after the second one. Looks like these characters showed up after I just stopped. Wow so these new warriors are really all retro warriors. They are all very cool and I would love a statue on all of them! Now I need to learn more about them. Catch up time to see what powers they have. Now I can do my vote lol.... I only saw one animated movie with a few of these new characters in it. Was there more shows with them in it? Voted for Elena then learn of ibukal. Oh well both is good. But prefer ibukal as first choice of the new warriors.

No problem, anytime that's what we're her for. I love Street Fighter too. There's so many ways to learn about Street Fighter, I would suggest the graphic novels, they're still available in some places, the animes too but I would highly suggest you avoid all the live action movies related to SF very bad especially if your a fan.

Thanks bro, lol I've seen those old sf movies. At the time I was a fan and that movie sucked. The animated ones I've seen the tv series and a few others. I was trying to learn more on the new warriors from part 3. They all seem pretty cool. I did see the anime with the new girl villain with the purple cones on her head. She kicks with some diamond thing. Great movie. Was there ever part 2 to that? Did she ever have a rematch with chun Li who got crushed the first time they met?

Anytime, yeah especially the chun-Li movie with Kristin Krueger. Really disappointing from the start.Yeah SF3 is one of my favorite out of the series. Yeah that was an origin story for her, her name is Juri Han, one of my favorite female characters after Cammy. yeah I really enjoyed it, really short. sadly there was no part 2, it was a beginning story of Super Street Fighter IV. She destroyed Chun Li in that movie, the only way for you to find out is playing trough the game.

Unfortunately the only way you're going to get much exposure to Street Fighter 3 characters would be in the Street Fighter 3 games because Capcom abandoned them, and essentially the franchise, for almost a decade. SF2 kept getting rehashes, but 3 and its cast are to this day mostly left in limbo, lucky to get in minor cameo roles here and there. That being said Ibuki has always been nicely exposed for whatever reasons and Dudley has become pretty well known too. Thanks to SSF4, Makoto has more exposure now despite having only been in a single fighting game prior.

But if Oro, Alex (the main character for goodness sake), Urien, Remy (one of my characters of choice though he never gets much love), etc.. are who you are looking for then outside of a few crossover titles you have to play the SF3 games or read their one page appearances in comic books.

Wow! These third strike characters, (I'm guessing that's what the new warriors are) are so hard to find anywhere. I just found 2 more sf anime shows. One is alpha3 and the other is the one with Akuma. But still not really anything with the third strike warriors. Was there ever a anime show with them fighting?

CBG, have you gotten into the SOTA street fighter statues? They are fairly easy to get and they have done some characters Jerry might not do for a while, like Juri and Oni. They are very detailed and awesome too. 1/6 scale full sculpted. Some of my favorites in my collection right now.

I'm well aware of Udon's stuff and no I don't count that as actual exposure. It's a team of dedicated fans living their fan fiction dreams, but it isn't actual support from the Company. There was no excuse for abandoning SF3 cold like that. Ten years and it was just tossed aside. Even now most of the cast is still left as cameo filler.

Well being that udon stayed true to the street fighter II story in their previous comics, they will do the same with this. And obviously it gets approved by CAPCOM. So this is the perfect way to learn about the story behind third strike. This will be available online, at conventions, right in front of people's eyes in comic shops. You don't call that exposure? Pff!

Also third strike was never tossed away. They made the mistake of having too many new characters and not enough old characters. That is why it was never popular in the beginning. You see how you feel about the third strike characters? Yeah that's how I felt when sf3 was released and it felt to me like they tossed away all the original characters. So myself like so many others didn't want to know because it was basically a whole new game with new characters. It's only because of the fans they made second impact and third strike that in the end brought back only 4 original characters. They have bought back some characters in the new games, third strike is now available as an online game.

This is all exposure. What more do you want? Third strike up to now is a popular game and everyone knows that. It's used a lot in tournaments as well. CAPCOM is only giving the fans what they want now and that to most if us is what made street fighter. SF II nostalgia. But that doesn't mean third strike characters are dead. They're far from it.

Despite a loyal fan base and kudos from (most) critics SF III was a flop. 3D fighters like Tekken - which still pretty much owns SF in terms of commercial sales - had stolen it's thunder.

Honestly, Capcom put ALL its 2D brawlers to bed because SF III did such bad business. I resented Capcom's descision as much as anyone but they had every excuse to hang SF III out to dry. I'm just grateful the game's had any kind of resurgence at all.

Yeah I remember when sfIII was first shown and how angry I was. Where's Sagat? Bison? Guile? Man I was pissed lol. I played it a bit but it never felt like street fighter to me at the time but now it does more. Another thing Gyro, it wasn't just the characters left out to dry, it was the whole game in general. Street fighter was dead to CAPCOM and all thanks to the fans and Yoshinori Ono it was re born.

I know street fighter 3 was not popular when it came out and alot of fans didnt like it - But atleast with its creation we have cool characters like Oro , Ibuki Makoto Dudley to name a few . Im am getting that Grahpic novel for sure . I cant wait for the Akuma Origins coming out later this year also

Hugo and Alex are my top 2. But I've got to agree. Full mixed media on Q would be unmatched.
