I'm a huge fan of Alex Ross's Marvel/DC art but could never afford the giclee's. I have a number of paper lithographs and have had no problems. It sucks that for all the $$$ you spend on a giclee, you have to have these problems.

Cracks? Are you perhaps talking about the canvas variant?

Just so you know, canvas are not synonomous with giclees. These are two different mediums. The giclees are basically prints on harder stock paper. The name allows dealers to fool fans into thinking they're worth $500. IMO, prints have no business costing what they do. The resale of these are quite difficult too.

Scary stuff

Are these the kind of "small cracks" you are talking about?

If so, I know exactly how you feel

Both having it occur for an uknown reason; and the relief that comes from an explanation and a replacement after so long - a rare and exceptional customer service

Mine came back as the same number with an "X" at the end too (old 1 returned to keep the stature of the ES)

What does the X stand for?

The "X" in front of the number would just mean it is the replacement.. it may have even been "dx" rather than x, but anyway no biggie, it is still the same edition number
