Hey everyone!

I received mine this morning and it took me almost an hour to unpack it and set it up! It was packed incredibly well -- the box it comes in is HUGE! And it was almost 40 lbs. I would have taken pics but my brother borrowed my camera for his trip -- ack!

The T-850 is awesome -- I love it! It literally towers over the rest of my 1/4 scale figures. It is so tall in fact, I had to move the upper glass shelf to it's highect level just to fit him in the display case -- I was sweating there for a bit. It said he was 24 in. tall, but that is with out the base -- it totals 27 on the base!

I think the headscupt is dead on -- it definitely looks better in normal lighting vs the lighting at Comic Con. I think it is hands down the best likeness on any statue -- add the glasses and that thing is like an Arnold Mini-Me. :buttrock:

Anyway, I've jabbered enough -- now let's see them pics! :)

Thanks Sith for some information. Good to here he it is 27 inches!

Now,

How does the hair look? I was worried it may look too thin...

Do the eyes look real?

How is the quality of the shotgun?

P1, your thoughts?

P1X4R
08-03-2005, 07:32 PM
ok, my first impressions before i post the pics.

i was floored by how realistic arnold's face was! it was a bit creepy actually! there are a lot of details and the kind of quality i've come to expect from this line. a job well done IMO! i must say that the head is very delicate! i can see how easily damaged it can get so be careful when handling Arnie! as for the size compared to the TX.. i am happy to say that he is A LOT taller than her by almost 2 inches (from my untrained eye). it's hard to tell from my pics though so keep that in mind. his shotgun is very cool! great wood-like finish on the handle!! also, you can actually pump it but again i wouldn't advise it. this is strictly a display piece.

am i satisfied with this? YES!! :buttrock:

is it perfect? of course not! maybe it's because of the nature of the materials it's made from but there is a bit of high maintenance involved. i think i'll look into investing an acrylic case for it. i can't stress enough how his head can be so prone to damage. a slight letdown but not enough to disappoint tremendously. so the bit of maintenance i am referring to is the "powder kit" it comes with. yes, you heard me right. :) this is one high class "doll". he also comes with his trademark sunglasses but i am hesitant to put it on him for fear of ripping his "skin" off. remember the movie Darkman? hehe.

let's see.. what else.. so a small comment on human faces in general.. coming from an industry that "simulates" these types of characteristics i know how very complicated it can be. well, enough chat.. let me download the pics from my camera!

Gruson
08-03-2005, 07:35 PM
Thanks P1!

Now...did you ALREADY damage his face? ;)

I want to buy an acrylic case for protection as well. Let me know if you know a site that sells them and what size we should get....

None with shades on? :)

...and open the jacket up all the way!

This piece is HUGE!! I thought the Predator bust was big but this towers above it. Very nice.

His face looks best in the last couple of pics. Lighting is always key. Hair looks a bit short though..

I am sure it looks great in person. Two more days until mine arrives.....going to be a long wait.

Base on the great pics from P1. The only downside of the maquette is the hair STYLE(Made him looks like a Chinese),I sure it looks ten time better in person. besides that, BEAUTIFUL! AWESOME PIECE!

Congrats P1!

Something about the hair is bugging me though...oh well, I will see it in person and then decide.

Ok, thanks for the pictures, P1X! :thumbs2:

But I have to say I didn't like it that much, it for sure looks better in person, and I would love to see it before they ship it to me, but I'm afraid I will cancel my order asap. Maybe down the road after I see him personally I change my mind and order him again. :)
In the pictures on Cinemaquette site, he looks better. I don't like his eyes, he looks kind of sad. His hair line looks weird on the sides, kind of unnatural and too long. His Legs are strange too, but may be the pictures. And this powder thing, damn, what a BIG let down it was for me. Sure, it may be the best overall likeness of Arnie yet(and it should be for $1200), but I dunno if I would like to cope with it's down sides.
Glad you loved it, that's what matters, Rock on! :thumbs2:
But you just saved me $1250 for a while, or until I see it in person. Even tough I really wanted to like this thing since I'm a huge Terminator fan :(

P1X4R
08-03-2005, 08:09 PM
yup, lighting is very key. i didn't take any with flash because i know it'll just make it look very bad. i'm sure if these pictures were taken by a professional it would look sooooo much better! i'm just an amateur at best.

Gotta agree w/ Cap on this one. I couldn't afford this either way but I think the Attakus piece nailed the likeness better. Eyes look close together and inset a bit.

Not WAY off but not DEAD ON either. I would see it as a value decision....

Attakus piece in 1/5 scale for $300

or

Cinamaquette in 1/3 for $1500

...bang for buck you know my choice.

I was hoping to see a piece that made people go WOW as they entered the room. Based on the pics it is massive and very nice but not $1500 nice imho

If P1 offered me this one or the TX for free.... I'd take the TX....

congrats tho if you like it....after all, that is all that matters...

Awesome, P1X! :thumbs2:
That's what matters and I'm prety sure it's a nice piece overall. The powder thing it's a BIG let down for me. I dunno if I can overcome this aspect, even if I see the statue in person and liking the statue overall. I'm OK with statue with cloths, but this powder care is too much. I will wait for the Cinemaquette T-800. :)

I think this is the one I wanted. Check out the distance between Arnie's jaw line and the ear in the senond pic(And the hair style of course). They scrap the head model on the prototype.(Which is a bad call)

I will wait until I receive mine in person before I decide.

However, just from pics, I prefer the $300 Attakus piece.

Wow -- it's really true -- beauty is in the eye of the beholder. I think this looks just like Arnold, where I didn't think the Attakus was that close at all.
Funny thing is, in photos, the expression looks a bit different than when I look at it in person -- must be the lighting as always.

I do think it is best to get a case for it though, as I would not want it to get all dusty. As is, I think Cinemaquette did a great job.

And thanks for all the great pics, P1X!

They did cut too much the hair in the front too. If you looks the side pics P1X took, you can see his hair following his head shape, in an oval way. In the Cinemaquette site pictures , his hair looks way better, less uniform and more natural(and also bigger in the front).

And again, the powder to keep the fragile sillicon skin in check it's a BIG no to me.

It bothers me how often the final product doesn't measure up to the prototype in this collectibles business. I don't understand it one bit.

RichardW

My biggest problem with this piece is the zippers. They look out of scale with what a zipper should be. I'm sure they wanted real zippers and used the smallest they could find, but they look almost as big as his nose.

I'm not trying to rain on your parade, P1X4R. Still looks like a nice piece overall, just too expensive for me.

not at all. i completely agree with you here. it definitely does lessen its realism effect. also, i'll need to rough up his leather jacket (especially the arms) a bit to give it a more worn look.

Punk 1: Nice night for a walk, eh?
The Terminator: Nice night for a walk.
Punk 2: Wash day tomorrow. Nothing clean, right?

Just got an email from Cinemaquette, finnaly!
And they do NOT accept it back for a full refund, so consider this when your order. Best thing to do is to see it in person before you buy it.
Which is pretty damn LAME, if you ask me, since we are talking about a $1200 piece here. I'm afraid they won't last in this business with this policy. They should take some lessons frm Sideshow about what customer service really it's about.

Gruson
08-03-2005, 09:42 PM
WHAT?!?

I am not going to accept the package then, I will RETURN TO SENDER and will contact my credit card company.

For $1200, I am not going to even risk opening it up if it's not perfect and then getting stuck with it....great...another hassle to deal with.

Main thing is that you're happy with it P1X4R. What is the skin made of? It looks like a kind of rubber/latex -- like they sculpt the face underneath and put on a thin layer of latex then paint. Which is kinda cool.

For now, think I'm gonna stay in the Sideshow camp and see how things go there. Cinemaquette is just a little too pricey and untested. Plus the pix of Aragorn looked horrible.

What happens to silicone over 5 years or so? Will his face start falling off?

I asked them if they would give me a full refund in case I didn't like it. If yes, them they could keep my order. That was last week. Today, I sent an email asking them to answer me and to tell them why mine didn't ship yet, since I was one of the very first to order it and many of my friends had it shipped already."

Here's their answer:

"Dear C,

Apologies for the delayed reply. Your Cinemaquette order was one of the first to go out. However, we do not have a return policy similar to your request. We offer complete customer satisfaction should there be any defective features that were overlooked. If you have a chance to see one that your friends have ordered and decide to order one, we will gladly try to make yours priority on the next available shipment. Again, apologies for the delayed response. Thank you.

I think the accuracy of the likeness can't be questioned. It's the hair that is the problem. The hair is longer at the sides in the sample (so it is brushed more flat). The eyebrows have more hair in the sample.

To me this thing requires too much up keep for a $1200 collectible.

08-04-2005, 12:30 AM
I really want to like this piece more, as I believe the likeness it's excellent, and looks to be a very good statue overall, but the sillicone/powder damn thing it's keeping me scaried, together with Cinemaquette bad return policy.
The problem for me(besides the sillicone/powder and few other things that I could "maybe" learn to surpass with time) is to buy a BIG ticket item like this one, that had many protos and not beeing able to return it in case I don't like. Roulete? This tought alone scarys me already.
So ok, I open the box, if I like it, I'm lucky! If not, then I'm screwed? And this is not a piece that you can check it out in many places to see if you like.

C'mon, Cinemaquette, if you trust your product, then I see no reason why returns shouldn't be allowed. We are not that picky. :) We don't want Costco kind of policy, we just wanna to be able to see if we like(and 90% of the times we do!) and return just in case we don't like. And beeing picky and carefull collectors, we will also take good care of your product and pack it really well back to you in case we decide not to keep it. And we will pay shipping both ways. It's not like we will beat the crap of the statue and send it to you in pieces. :)
About the hair: I would try to keep it always longer. It's better to keep it a little longer(so we can cut it if it happens to be too long) then shorter. Unless it grows and we don't know :)
And please explain this well in your site, all writen and clear. We want you to stay in business, we really do!! I would LOVE owning some of your next pieces if they are good. You have the know how, but that alone doesn't keep anyone in business. I really hope the next turn will be much better.

And P1X, I'm really happy you are enjoying it my friend. It's a very nice piece. Show us more pics when you can! And to quote Rich, sorry to rain in your Parade, that wasn't my intention at all. Hope you understand my concerns.

08-04-2005, 12:59 AM
cap, great advice feedback for them. i certainly hope they hear these valid concerns if they are to continue in this line.

it's too bad how some of you guys are feeling about it but i can completely and respectfully understand. as old Ben once said..

"You must do what you feel is right, of course..." :)

Gruson
08-04-2005, 01:11 AM
Actually, I am going to call them tomorrow morning. I am going to tell them if mine does not look exactly like the one on their web site, it's being returned.

I will demand the prototype from the web site because THAT is what I thought I was buying. :) The jacket looks like it fits better on it as well.

On P1's, the hair in the very back is cut wrong as well. It's not "tight" enough to his neck if you know what I mean. The hair is what really bugs me and the eyebrows look too thin.

IMO, Quality Control should have seen these issues.

Sorry if my posts come across negative but I have waited over a year for this piece and wanted it to be perfect...not to mention for $1200, it SHOULD be.

Thanks again for the pics P1 and I do still want to see some with shades on. Also, if you are not happy with any part, remember, Cineaquette says they will fix it for you....

Another question,

What happens to silicone over 5 years or so? Will his face start falling off?

Not to rain on anyone's parade, but it just might...

Silicone's lifespan depends on a number of factors...

1) How is it stored? If it's in a cool dry place without any direct light, the "lifespan" will be longer. If it's stored in direct light, or in a warm room, the "lifespan" will be shortened.

2) How much is it handled? If it's handled frequently, say goodbye...

3) Was the silicone plasticized when manufatured? There are a number of additives which are often added to silicone during the manufacturing process. The most common would be silicone oil which acts to give the rubber a more liquidy viscosity when casting. It also can help in making the final casting much softer and more pliable to the touch. The down side is that it weakens the material significantly and in many cases, will actually leach out of the rubber over time. I can almost gaurantee this is why they are including the powder with the piece. The powder can be applied to give the silicone a dry feel and matte finish. It is not however going to prevent the leaching of the oil. This will only get worse over time...

There are many other factors, but these are the main ones. For those of you buying this piece, I would HIGHLY recommend getting a display case with a dark cover. This will greatly extend the life of your statue.

I can say from experience having worked in the film FX industry for nearly 15 years, that most silicone bodies we make begin to show their age within a year or two. If stored properly, I have seen pieces last for maybe 5-6 years and still look OK. After that, the rubber itself generally begins to lose it's "structural integrity". Paint goes first, generally within months. The hair often falls out, and the skin can possibly tear with the slightest stress or handling. Obviously there are exceptions to every rule, but that is pretty much the norm...

Hopefully, Cinemaquette has addressed some of these issues and done what's possible to prolong the life of their products. But, being made of a silicone rubber, the statue WILL breakdown over time. It's just a question of when.

Does Cinemaquette have any sort of warranty? If not, this may be why...

As for the likeness, it should look good. The original was from a cyber-scan of Arnold's head. It wasn't sculpted.

Thanks srne,

I appreciate the information and will only order metal or non-silicone products from Cinemaquette in the future. I still want that T-X and will order the T-800 endo as well.

Anyone else upset about this? I do not want to spend $1200+ for a piece that will most likely fall apart within 5 years....I guess no 1/3 Indiana Jones for me now either..... :banghead: :banghead: :banghead:

It's not a problem. I've had alot of friends who bought latex stuff (Yoda for example) only to have the same thing happen. Then they run around crying about the $300-$400 that was wasted. We're talking about significantly more than that. I think it's kind of BS that they use this as a sales pitch, especially considering clear casting resins can be tinted and colored to look almost exactly like silicone and will never deteriorate. The silicone thing is just a gimmick in my opinion and is meant to WOW! the uninformed...

I don't want to discourage anybody from buying the piece. It's nicely done. I just think people should be made aware of the facts when it's that kind of money...

srne

Silicone won't dry and crack. It will leach the oils in it, weaken, and tear.

It probably won't fall apart in 5 years, but unless you store it like the Declaration of Independence, it will almost certainly be showing it's age.

"Mortality" isn't far behind... :(

Exactly. Why not use Polystone like SS uses. Damn it, I don't want it to feels like "skin". I want only it to "look" like skin. That's it. They would have a much more durable product with much less care needed in the end.

Let us know what they said, I'm considering the same thing as you. I got my shipping email today and it will be here by Tuesday.

I just don't know what to say. The B.S. about the skin alone makes me not want to buy it. Also, this is NOT as accurate as the proto.

What a letdown.

srne
08-04-2005, 02:50 AM
Also, this is NOT as accurate as the proto.

Well, one thing you may notice is that the hair is punched in small plugs, groups of hair (like a doll) rather than the single hair punching that was used on the prototypes. It also appears the hairs used are much coarser.

Also, the prototypes were fully painted, where the actual pieces have only a fine mist of color added here and there. This explains why the piece looks different from the prototype. Painted shadows, highlights, freckles, etc. all can dramatically change the look of someones face.

Finally, the early prototypes had flocking in the silicone to give it some actual intrinsic breakup. It doesn't appear from the pictures that there is any in the final pieces. The overall tone of the silicone is very even, where a flocked silicone would almost appear painted even without having been. A little paint on top of that and you're flying...

Realistically, this is all stuff which should be expected when ordering a factory piece vs a sales prototype. The factory pieces will never be as good as the original. Even at this price...

Ok, I just spoke to Scott at Cinemaquette. He is going to find out from Cinemaquette if it is ok for him to post in this forum to address our questions.

We talked about a lot of issues:

1. If anyone is not 100% satisfied with their T-850, they will do everything to correct any issues you have with it. If you want a full refund, they will give you a full refund.

2. As for the hair, he informed me it is actually in his head very deep and you can pull it out to make it longer. If my Arnold's hair is too short, I will give it a try...I think P1 should too. ;)

3. The important question. How long will the silicone skin last? This was a big concern for Cinemaquette before they even released a single piece. They decided to use a silicone that has a VERY long lifespan according to Scott. He will be sending me some detailed information on it tonight and I will post it, once I receive it.

As for the powder, he said we should only use it once a year to help keep dust, dirt, etc off of Arnold.

If you have any questions for him, he said to please give him a call.

1-866-869-8606

I am going to open mine up to see how he looks and will decide whether or not to keep him...assuming the silicone has a LONG lifespan. If I am not happy with him, he will be going back.

I want to thank Scott for his time today. He is a very nice guy and you can tell he has a passion for the line.

cool! thanks for the news Gruson! it's good to hear about their full refund.

on a side note regarding the silicone.. i have someone here at work who is familiar with this problem. fortunately for me he can (once i get my display case w/ black base / 18x18x32) encase and have it completely sealed with an inert gas. he has done this with numerous valuable collectibles that are way more expensive than this cinemaquette (details of which i can not disclose)! :)

as for arnie's hair.. i'm really not too bothered by it at all.

My observations on P1's...I wish someone else would post pics!! Mine arrives Monday now....

-The eyes are too narrow
-Too much space between eyes and eyebrows
-Eyebrows are not bushy enough...way too thin
-His hair is the biggest issue. Sorry but it looks HORRIBLE. It's too short on top and sides and too bushy in the very back. He looks like he has a grown out buzz cut or something.
-jacket looks "cheaper" and does not fit as nice
-zippers are bigger on P1's for sure

Hey Gruson -- I would, but I don't have my camera! I'll see if I can borrow one and get some pics for ya.

Boba Fett, the pics you show are all with really bright lighting -- when I look at mine in natural subdued lighting (where it can actually have shadows on the face), it looks tons better. I don't know why he has that expression though -- may be the angle of the shot. The bottom shots with his glasses on are much better.

Another thing is -- P1X, you gotta unzip that jacket all the way! It looks kinda funny with it zipped partway -- I had to unzip the jacket and then
pull it a bit so it hangs more naturally. Definitely looks better to me.

He looks sad on P1X pictures. CM pictures he looks more bad @ss, and that's cause his eyebrowns are thicker, longer on CM pictures. His eyebrows are thinner on P1X pictures and shorter. His hairline looks much better and natural on CM pictures, just look the profile shots. Also, look at the zipper mechanism in the leather jacket in the first side by side pictures. In the CM site, it looks proportional( smaller). In P1X pictures, it looks too big.
The leather jacket also looks much better on CM pictures. Sorry, but the more I look at him, the less I like him. What a big let down it was for me :(

Nice thought :)

I am waiting to get mine and to make my own opinion on it. Difficult to judge on the pictures. Note that what we saw on CM website is ADVERTISING and prototypes are often different from items done later in factories.

Exar,

The CM (web site) pics look great, however, look at the pics I posted in the link before your post. Horrible lighting conditions but the SDCC version looks much better than P1s....

I am seeing them and I saw them before and I am also worried about this but I want to see the piece by myself.

There were too many different pictures fo this product on the web: this is something that CM should be very carefull from now to their future if they intend to have some. One prototype and one final product. Anyway, I have still little hope

BobaFett02

No problems the pics chaps... I needed to know. Its as good as we have at the moment.

I took a jump and called CM myself. Being in the UK thats a hell of a call...but anyway

They where very helpfull in explaining all the ins and outs of the statue.

The eyes where altered. I believe that they were made smaller.

The hair can be altered and styled. It can be pulled out and altered. Though i think it should styled out of the box!

The face: It will last a life time i am told.. which is comforting. the sheer cost of this item i would want it to last for 10yrs plus!

The jacket. Its new leather. We have to expect that the publicity one has been handled a lot to and it has been tweaked and pulled to look exactly right.

The face can take make up so im told also... so nice blue eyeliner for me.

CM will be posting as they are aware of the concerns people are having, this to me shows that they are making every effort to make this a success. this will include / hair styling, jacket/pant styling and full specs of the silicone used in the face!...

Im not cancelling... im still in there...

Exar Kun

I agree and let's see if they are smart enough to listen their customer's coments.

But there is sth I did not understand: they altered the eyes ??

Cinemaquette, can you please post some more pictures of Arnold from some of the ones you are about to ship or other "final" versions of him? I am curious to what others look like. I wish sithboy would post some pics or comment on his T-850's hair.... Get your digital camera back!!! ;)

You also REALLY need to update the official site....

Wow, I didn't realize they had a prototype way back then. You guys have been waiting forever for this guy.

Yep. Much better looking hair on that 2004 SDCC Arnold.

One of the first prototypes of this piece was done in Jan/Feb of 2004 from a cyber-scan of Arnold's head. It was molded, cast, seamed and I was told painted and punched (hair) by a certain very well known Creature FX studio in LA. (Not Winston's or Baker's)... I don't know if that head is the same one in the pictures, but it gives an idea of the lengths that companies go to when producing their prototypes. The real pieces are made...?... Certainly not at the same company...

I for one, am looking forward to seeing what info CM gives about the hair and especially the skin.

Unless it looks like the SDCC/2004 version of Arnold, it will be returned. I will take some pictures for sure.

Just got the response from them:

==========
Dear Huang-Yu Lin,

We are sorry to hear that you are unsatisfied with the pictures you saw on
"statueforum.com". We strongly advise you to make up your own decision once
you see it for yourself. The cast model has not changed and it is the exact
same mold as one in the SDCC pics. The difference you are seeing is produced
from lighting and photo quality. We are confident in the overall quality of
the T-850 and hope you can agree once you see it. Customer satisfaction is
assured should you have any issues with your Cinemaquette. Please let us
know what you think once it arrives. Thank you.

Best Regards,

I don't think it's wise to call attention to the forum like that. You know what I mean? You could say you saw the pics elsewhere from friends. Just cause we wouldn't want problems from Cinemaquette too. Just a thought I'm saying.

From the pics, I wouldn't have got this. Not impressed. Would like to see what else they produce, but most likely won't be as interested as I am with SS's work.

I agree with you Ghost, but CM. is not selling a $12 action figure. They NEED to know and hear the reactions from those who actually purchsed their product(s). For me, I think it's a good thing that they NOTICED that there're a bunch of people here are willing and ready to shell out rather great deal of money on these........high-end dolls. No offense. Let me say cheers my good man!!! :thumbs2:

My advice to those trying to talk yourself into this is to re-read this gentleman's posts throughout this thread before you narrow the 'issues' to hair length. Just my friendly $0.02 though...

Also, P1 should be applauded for allowing candid review/discussion of the piece and providing pics etc......

I am surprised at how angry some people have gotten over the T-850 -- I mean to go so far as calling it a POS?! Unreal -- hey, if you don't like it, that's cool -- everyone has the right to their opinion, then don't buy it. No one is twisting your arm. I happen to think it is a quality piece.

At that price, you should be happy with what you get -- so there you go. Funny how the two guys that really dig the piece are the ones with it in hand.
P1X, you and me gotta stick together! :)

con·struc·tive ( P ) Pronunciation Key (kn-strktv)

Serving to improve or advance; helpful: constructive criticism.

I think it is immature to spew your anger and frustration when this thread has been about sharing ideas, opinions and information. We get kinda defensive of our fellow board members and our way of "life" here. Please don't take this too hard but if you are not here to contribute in a constructive manner don't leave mad....just leave.

I'm curious how many people build these things. Does Cinemaquette have one person doing the hair on all these figures or does someone work on a figure from start to finish? If it's the latter, there could be some Arnolds with hair that matches the prototype. If it's the former, that means there could be a lot of short-haired Arnolds.

I have to say, I'm glad I didn't cave and start getting these. Cool concept. Nice looking product (even with all the nits everyone's been pointing out), but still too $$$$ to justify IMO. I just really couldn't see paying more than $300 for these (which is where the SS premium format price point is except on the metal sculpts like Greivous or Terminator). Still trying to figure out if the Predator will be worth the grand, though. It'll be interesting to see what happens with Cinemaquette over the next 6 months or so.

WOW...Cap I am surprised......

I agree this is a place for opinions.... I agree that I don't have to agree. Hell, I have said I am not buying one of these...but lets look at his post I am referring to:

"P.O.S. that's what this Cinemaquette T-850 is. sorry, but there is no way in hell I would pay more than $300 on it. Big, expensive, non-accurate doll. powder make up? what's next, feeding- these things?"

P1x comes here, as a fellow board member, with this piece for review/scruntity and this guy calls it a "Piece of ****" not worth $300? If this is just expressing his anger, why is he the only person in a 20 page thread who chose to "express" himself this way?

If it is proper to do this why didn't you express your fruatration the same way....or Gruson...or anyone else here wanting this thing to live up to its' billing?

I submit becasue it is childish and rude to those here who either:

A) like it
B) own it
C) took time and energy to put up pics etc for discussion

I have to say that I am floored that you are supporting his words and yet you have never posted in this manner. And a 'dogpile' is not 2 members expressing indignation over his crude and unnecessary words.

bruceb....for clarification...

I mentioned your post count because first impressions are usually lasting ones and I must say you chose an interesting way to introduce yourself to a new "community". P1X is a valued member and pissing on his decision, taste and new piece is just wrong imho. Even if he wasn't offended...I was offended for him.

Heya C1eaN, first I will also say WOW back at ya, you know me enough to know my toughts about it.
I don't think he is right or wrong, I just think people should be allowed to say whatever they want to If you are not offending anyone directly. Yes, he was a bit harsh, agree with you. "WE" wouldn't have said the way he said, but at the same time I want to REALLY keep this thing on topic. We don't want to give excuses to "other" people not posting their explanations here. ;)
I also don't think a good idea asking people to leave the forum just case they said this piece is not worth $300. That's an opinion, we like it or not. Ignore it, you much better than that. How many times I(we) heard some of my statues were not worthy even half of what I paid for it? Did I ask people to leave the forum? Nope, even tough I got very upset with those types of comments. You probably also heard it too many times.
C'mon, we are talking about a statue here folks. Yes, there's better ways of criticizing things, and sometimes people are harsh. But please...let's learn to ignore(I know I'm trying!) those small things instead of keep fighting back.
I don't think P1X got offended. He's probably enjoying his T-850 and is not giving too much a crap about what people say. I'm in no way supporting his words, just saying that he is probably angry and I understand that, since I also got a little upset about it. You know me better than that, bro :)
But is not everyone that express their opinions in a more well "educated" and constructive way like us, unfortunetly ;)
I for one want to see more pictures and still waiting for CM to give some needed answers here. That's what I'm worried about.

cheers,
C.

Gruson -- sorry I missed your questions. First, I think my T-850 looks pretty similar to P1X's, which I think is great. The hair looks a bit longer when I look at the one I have, but that could be just the angles of the pics. And I do think the eyebrows are a bit on the thin side, which doesn't bother me. Wish I had my camera...

You know it was suggested by them to add makeup... to the eyes to make it more inline with the original!

what about adding some hair gel to it... or use super glue to make it perminent ... the original fluffy hair that came straight out of the box look a bit dopey to me..
Yeh i reckon give it a bit of make up would do fine :D prepare him for a good photo shoot

Anyone tried to pull the Arnie hair to look like the proto yet?

My Arnie arrived, but I am 3000 miles away on a biz trip.
