Excellent.
Still want to see Randy do a modern (X-costume from a couple of years ago, can't remember the artist, but it was drop dead sexy) and retro (Inner Circle bustier) WQ.
The way they have done the base makes it look a little like she is wearing some kind of heavy-duty bolt-on Shi'ar chastity belt.

Ok, I know there is someone from DST that posts here sometimes, can I PLEASE get an answer as to WHY DST decided to change the base??!!! I mean, you kept the same base from the "New X-Men" line, but halfway through this new "Astonishing" line, you change the base? Am I the only one bothered by this?!!

I guess they made it "diamond-like" to reflect her new power. It'll probably go back to the original design after this one.
Also, why does she have to have a friggin 6-pack? Gimme a nice smooth belly anyday. :buttrock:

That does look bad changing the base. And another thing about that: Beast and Cyclops sit on their X, she's behind it. :rolleyes2

Well, from the "Astonishing" line, only Colossus has come out and I think he is pretty much in line with the old "New X-Men" line. It's hard to really tell, since he is a big dude.

I wouldn't mind if the shape was rougher, to somehow signify her diamond like power, but what's up with that bright red?!!! Not only is the base different, but it will also be spotted from a while away as being different. I hope someone from DST can give me an answer.

i'll definitely be buying this one since it's a pretty nice sculpt, and it looks like a long time before Randy will have one on his agenda. i actually like the Cyclops as well, as it's the first good sculpt of the character since the Bowen bust.

Colossus chrome just arrived last night. This is one nize piece -- much nicer than I thought from the pix 'cuz it was completely off our radar screen. #147 I believe. There are only 500 chromes, and I think it's gonna go up in price pretty quickly, especially once the others busts start coming out. Not sure what scale they're going for because Colossus is a big guy, but I think they will be slightly larger than BD's.

Saw the Emma bust in person at WWChicago (along with Cyclops, Beast and Shadowcat) Emma is not in scale, and is larger than Beast and Cyclops - not just in overall height, but in the size of her head/shoulders/etc. Very disappointing! The others all look appropriately scaled. Hopefully they will fix it, but the prototype looked finished. Black Queen sits nicely with the other busts from this line.

If Emma is out of scale this will just be plain old stoopid. 1st, have they not learned their lesson about what collectors want!?! i.e. lines and teams that display well together. 2nd, Emma is the reason I decided to go with the astonishing line. 3rd. What in the $#%^& are they thinking!? Someone please verify.

If it weren't intentional, I'm sure someone during production would have gone "hang on a minute, her hand is deformed". The glove is obviously in mid-removal.
