Alright PrototypeZ, lets get some info on the 1/4 scale line now that other line is on the second character. Some info on ETA, first couple in the lineup, edition size, cost, anything. :dork:

Thats what I'm waiting for! SF 1/4 scale is where it's at!

I've personally never understood the interest in 1/4 scale. They're damn huge, über expensive, and heavy as f***!

Sure, they look good, but so does 1/6. If Erick does 1/4 Street Fighter kits, I could only foresee myself getting one or two for the reasons listed above.

The larger pieces command more attention/ more eye catching, has more detail and the part you don't like is exactly what the 1/4 scale collectors love- the large size.

I agree. I have a few 1/4's, and I think they're just too big, aswell as being heavy as all hell. 1/6 is perfect for me. I wouldn't mind some Dioramas though.

Oh yeah, I'm fully aware I'm in the minority. But I've got my 1/6 Street Fighter line, so I'm happy!

I like the size of 1/4 scale...If money wasn't an issue I think most ppl would choose 1/4 scale.

If I were to collect 1/4 kits, I would only buy 4-5 of them.

With 1/6, I plan on getting all 17 SF2 characters if they're made

i'm sure the 1/4 scale will be much more limited than 150 as it would be harder to sell due to cost.

Also, once pro painted, the final price for these would be around 1k. Too rich for my blood
That's why I need to start learning how to paint^^

Im only interested in key characters, so if its 1/4 rose, dan or akuma id get them!.

For what companies like Sideshow & PCS charge for their statues one would expect high quality pieces.
Instead we are treated to this:

Bigger isn't always better, it's just bigger...which is why I liquidated a majority of my sideshow/pcs collection because once the "wow" factor wears off all you have is a very hollow feeling. nowadays I only chase down the most detailed statues regardless of scale.

I would love to see PrototypeZ hit the 1/4 scale market but for now I am perfectly happy coppin' (buying) there 1/6 line...

you never know the 1/6 could rise to that price, with only 150 out there and many different people painting it up and not many selling them off could topple 1k. :itsb:

Yeah I'm sure some will command even more than that

Yeah I have no interest in 1/4 either.

1. No place to put something that big.

2. 1/6 is awesome because action poses are possible! 1/4 would just be museum poses which to me would be meh.

If I ever did partake in something like this, it would only be for Ryu.

I'll stick with 1/6 for these kits. It's already going to cost me a fortune.

I'd love to have a 1/4 of certain characters but 1/6th is the best scale for this at this point.

inorder to guarantee a good start, i hope protypeZ starts off with akuma, ryu, sagat, chunli. that should be enough to hook some people in for the long haul. PCS is just under 1/4 scale so these should be larger than PCS pieces.

Did one of the Prototypez guys say that 1/4 wouldn't happen till the 1/6 line was almost finished?

Meh I'm fine with scales being different from the pcs line as long as they are trying to be consistent. I know there will be people who would want to mix 1/4 proto sf kits with pcs sf pfs. I personally just want amazing individual pieces and ill be happy.

I would like to have 1/4 scale statues, but as others pointed out, this might be too expensive and space will be an issue. Maybe prototypez can limit their release to 2 1/4 characters per year? for at least our moolah can catch up with the growing expense

Just opened up my Sagat to check out (will have to get painted later) and this guy is HUGE! Idk if I'd want an actual 1/4 statue that would dwarf PCS and SS 1/4 statues. Sagat looks awesome and the base is huge, I couldn't imagine how big a true 1/4 Sagat would be lol.

ZenLogikos

LOL. You don't have to imagine. Sagat is 7'4". Simple math means a 1/4 statue would be 22 inches. Enjoy that knowledge responsibly!
