Your like me. Like a kid in a candy store.

Haha

I gotta say I just saw the FS Yoda in person today. Wow it's big. And I completely forgot to take a pic of it or with it to show the sheer size of it. Will do that tomorrow. But it looks GREAT. I asked if they would do any payment plans and they said no, and that they're not really sure if they're even going to produce it, other then the ones they get on preorder. Also it will SUPPOSEDLY start to ship in Dec. Crazy.

On top of that I just got an email saying that Wolverine vs. Sabretooth will be shipping soon! Sheesh. So much for spending some cash at the WWC this year heh. They had the Chrome Vader there too, but looked to cheap and the saber lighting up ever second was annoying. Yoda was the main attraction there. Oh and Boba Fett looked great up close, so did Maul. I have pics but I guess I can't post any of that, though the guy let me take pics of anything I wanted. Oh and I gotta say, those Harry Potter busts are ALOT more impressive in person. Very great pieces.

On the bright side I got to talk to the head of graphic design for GG and asked about working for them and what not. Seems like a great group of ppl. Got a huge XL Bust Ups shirt out of it as well.

I agree totally Ghost. The Yoda was kick ass! Boba and Maul I can't wait for. I didn't find any real bargins though. Seems like everyone knew what they had. I did see a Gothmog for $175. Oh and I found an Aragorn (the first SS one). I grabbed the box and the guy jumped out of his chair. I asked how much, he says $800. It's still there.

Haha yeah true dat. So far nothing great or out of the ordinary, screaming "DEAL!" anywhere yet. Will wait around till sunday towards the end and see if anything good pops up, but still nothing I can't find anywhere else for the same price. I missed out on the Black Queen though :( And no one had the Chrome Colossus either.

$800 and so soon. That's gonna be one heavy hit. I rather not get it and get all these smaller pieces from them and SS and Bowen then cancel all of them for Yoda. Great piece and I'm sure it will rise with time.

I remember GG has told them in the past about it so I don't want the company to have ill will towards this place. If it's cool with them (mods) I'll put them back up later but until I get the green light....

You know that was one of my questions to them, as to why they take so long in releasing stuff when it clearly shows they got everything made already. They said that even though they do manage to make the busts quickly they have a loooong process of licensing approval before anything can go out. That's why they said they did the Bust-Ups and new stuff like Corpse Bride I think and Death Jr. since those were more lenient licenses they're able to churn that stuff out while they wait on the other stuff. Still seems harsh considering the rest of the industry is pumping out SW stuff like nothing.

Thanks CB for taking them down. I'm away these past few weeks (and until next Wednesday) so I'm not on here nearly as much as usual. It's not really my law but GG´s request that pics of their upcoming stuff not be posted. Whether it makes sense or not and whether we like it or not, it's their right to request it and we have no choice but to comply. GG is very much aware of what gets posted here and I hear directly from them when this happens. I assume they want to control the release of images and these pieces may still be tweaked before they are sent into production so the images may not accurately reflect the final product. But, who knows.

Exactly why I took them down. I know it's not your law, that you'd been contacted in the past. And although I find it odd, it is after all their product. I wish GG would have a rep or someone post here. That person would have to have a strong chin with the things are continually brought up but I think a word from them would go a long way. Information is king in this day and age. Although people love their product, they have also lost business due to the lack of info on peoples concerns. I'm not saying they don't care or don't listen to the fans, they obviously see these things posted here. I think if people understood better the things involved or goings on, it would help their cause. We are spoiled here with direct contact to so many companies and talented artists who interact with us on a daily basis, people may feel a bit snubbed. When people see companies like Bowen Designs and Sideshow interact with us like they do, they cease to be companies and become friends, almost family. I think GG should try and make this connection. All people have seen here of GG are pieces they themselves have or production photos. The only words from GG people hear about are in emails to you requesting that Con photos be removed, which you do here as a gesture to them, much to the displeasure of all here. I'm sure they request the same thing on all the other sites that post their stuff but those sites never remove them. I'm not going to go into the whole picture removal thing because, quite frankly while it p's me off, it is Danny's house and I respect the rules. I'll get off my box now but I think GG needs to humanize itself. No disrespect intended, I'm sure GG is full of wonderful people, but right now I see GG as a corporation with no face, not a friend. While I will continue to buy their product, because it is quality stuff, I have no feelings for the company itself. It's that bond I think they need to remain a "force" in this business.

I actually hear that GG are nice people. And their CSR was pretty cool to me during the Han Solo stormtrooper episode, which I just waited out and sure enough it cleared up. While I've gotten the feeling that Lucas is not the easiest company to deal with, when you consider the unbelievable amount of plastic thingamabobs, t-shirts, sheets, lunch boxes, food tie ins like cheetoes, slurpees, candy bars, happy meal toys, and every other shameless promo that came out surrounding Ep III, I can't figure out why getting a few thousand busts from a small company approved and on the market would be so difficult. It seemed like Lucas had a rubber stamp in one hand and a cash valult in the other. Plus, GG doesn't seem to be able to get clearance to produce characters as bust ups. If all the busts ups were actual busts, they'd be selling like hotcakes, and none of us would be complaining ... too much. I really hope GG. Lucas, orwhoever is gumming up the works, opens up the floodgates next year and starts producing at least 1-2 SW busts a month. That would really make everyone pretty happy IMO.

I was there and the Yoda rocked! I also really liked the chrome Vader, I love the chrome. If you put just the right lighting on it they look spectacular. I ordered a Yoda and Vader, they don't know what the future will be for these two so I ordered hoping it becomes a Con exclusive. Yoda will be made out a silicon material that will take forever to break down, unlike latex. The GG convention staff are very friendly and great to talk with. The Maul and Boba look fantastic also.

I have to agree with you on this one. I really liked how the chrome looked! If I had to choose between the Vader or the Yoda I would have to go with the Yoda! The light up saber and the sound effects sold it for me!!
