Anyone else bothered by the artificial looking wings? The rest of the sculpt looks awesome but there’s something wrong with those wings. Not very natural looking. Check out John Cleary’s Hawk-man or KD’s Angel for reference to how the wings should have looked.

Well Vulture has been interpreted several ways, with feathered wings and not. I know Randy's likes and the artificial look is an old school tribute..

I think that's the way they used to appear. Seems like they were more like a glider, than actual wings. Here's a picture I found.

Yeah I actually liked this look. Always seen it as more of a glider type artificial wings. Not the authentic or fabricated realistic ones.

Yeah :( , it is a little distracting but for now I'm happy we even got to see him busted.

You know what would really cheer me up?

If JC makes a FS Vulture capanion peice with his Spideys :)

I actually really like that bust, again as the others have said the wings are meant to be kinda artificial looking.
Not to keen on the character though.

I like the bust. The wings are cool with me. Just glad to have him! I'm a little concerned about being excited by a balding old a$$ white guy in a tight green feathered suit! :confused2

But, Bullseye, I really do like the bust - especially the scowl on his face - very cool! And the pose is excellent, the costume perfect and the colors will look good next to the Spidey mini bust!

How could the wings have been done differently?
I'm not into that kind of sculpting detail but short of actual feathers, how could they be protrayed to make the sculpt more like real feathers? Were they feathers or something simulated?

I was thinking along the lines of feathers silverageguy. Don't get me wrong i love the bust. I'd prefer a FS though.

Why would you be concerned. There are alot here excited about a fat white guy in a white suit.

Great...just let all of my skeletons out. Thank God there isn't really a blue shape shifting woman walking aroud...my relationship would be in real trouble! In fat, I wonder if I can find a Vulture costume for my girl!

Sorry but the wings are actually what I like best about this bust

The artificial wings make more sense to me, however they look a little thick IMO. Not a big deal though.

I'd be happy to sculpt a full size Vulture to go with SPidey. :) I've actually already thought of doing one for my portfolio but since there is a new vulture bust(which kicks butt! ) I dont know if its on the table but I'd still love to do a Scorpion, Doc Ock or other full size villian. :)

Scorpion is my second choice for a FS Spidey villian. Rhino was my first, and it's already being made. So if Randy gives you the "go", then Scorpion would get my vote. But first, you just take care of my boy Apocalypse. :buttrock:

I like the bust but prefer fethered wings, it brings out a lot more detail

I think the FS should have his arms/wings down by his sides.

I really like the look of this bust. And by having the wings tilted, it just sets it apart from the FALCON bust.

By the way... Doesn't the face look like a constipated Captain Picard?

He looks more like a constipated Butthead playing as Captain Picard

Those wings look spot on for the classic Vulture.
