Totally agree. I have zero interest in this. For me its G1 and nothing else. When I see the movie stuff they look robot insects, especially Megatron. Can't deny the craftsmanship on this though.

I really wish this was the Megatron from Transformers Prime. That is a Megatron worthy of G1's Legacy. He looks cool, kicks major ass, and carries elements to his G1 counterpart.

Man, I am so split over this. The flex options aren't very flex-y either. If I were earning US greens, it would be a simpler decision for me.

The details are superb. The upper half looks great. Bottom half not so. He does look like an insect and not exactly Megatron-ish. Base goes well with my Optimus Prime. I hate what Michael Bay did to the license. And how can one forget how he was cerebrally mind-effed by that ugly Brit girl with bee-stung fish lips at the end of Dark of the Moon? Wouldn't he just crush that puny human instead.

Based on the wonderful pictures and videos Comic-Con attendees shared, the Megatron was the collectible that really stood out the most to me. I am glad Sideshow picked up some distribution rights.

I think the 150 limited edition is for the Japanese market only- I reckon it will be a much bigger estimate for the SS release...At $2,000 a pop + international shipping + Importation tax and 15% GST (includes shipping costs)...this will be a bit of a nightmare for me to bring to NZ...hmmm...

I would say that this is about as close to how I feel about this license really. The first one was good (minus the humans and Frenzy) but I find myself struggling to stomach the second and third instalments. It's like Bay trying to outdo his sucking and he tried too hard.

Sure it is detailed, but over three times the price, GH is not exactly a Gumby firgue...there is tons of detail. I just love all these companies and thier cuckoo-cuckoo pricing. 2K for this, I am guessing that Mike Bay and Steve Spielburg get a cut of this, LOL.

Second one I actually had on order with BBTS. I cancelled just before they charged their NRD. I learned of the open editon status just in time before they charged me $300.
