Original review is up here - Ganondorf Exclusive statue review (http://www.whatsyourobsession.com/first4figures-ganondorf-14-scale-exclusive-statue/) - Has some more pictures and a bit more text.

And here's the video! (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SyU1I-U0JS0)

Easily one of my most anticipated statues in a long time, the First4Figures Ganondorf Exclusive! Part of their 1/4 scale Master Arts line of Legend of Zelda statues, this is the first character they’ve released in the line that I liked enough to drop some coin on it. Zant and Wolf Link both looked fantastic but weren’t quite up my alley. Ganondorf though, pretty much a requirement for a Legend of Zelda collection!

First4Figures nailed it with the box design. The art box looks like what you’d expect from Sideshow, multiple views of the character and all that. The inner foam though, that’s where it shines. They’ve got an etched version of Ganondorf on one side and some other nice touches on the reverse bit. Probably an unnecessary bit of expense but hey, if you’re paying nearly $500 for this, those extra little touches help. The statue is packed in a really secure way and super easy to assemble.

The first thing you’ll notice is the sheer presence of the statue. Ganondorf is a huge character, bold, and an iconic gaming villain. The statue is big and heavy with the strong pose complimenting that. He’ll cast an imposing figure over most of your collection and when you’re talking about Ganondorf, that’s exactly the feeling you want from a statue. The normal face has a stoic expression, this quiet confidence that Ganondorf often has throughout his various forms, until he’s properly threatened at least. The exclusive head has an evil laugh going, which is also a great representation of Ganondorf but not as good a fit for the pose.

You’ll notice two damaged areas on my statue. The hilt of the sword was broken and glued back together in the factory and a part of his collar was chipped. I’m not going to dock points from the review for that since they’re refunding me (and I’ll grab a replacement later) but something to keep an eye out for. It’s a mixed media piece with the cape being the only fabric on the statue, the stitching on the cape looks pretty much perfect to me. The base is heavy and looks straight out of some old ruin. Rocky textures and paint, lots of chips and wear all over it. They paid a lot of attentions to the details though I did find the green slime/mold a little underwhelming. You can see it in certain shots from the front, the green paint needed a little more of an oozey liquid feel.

The sculpt itself is amazing. Check out the detail work all over the statue, the gauntlets, the sword hilt, there’s so much going on and all of it is crisp. The jewelry on his head, the texture on the sculpted fabric behind his head, there’s plenty to look at. The paint quality matches the sculpt. A good variety of colours, the paint doesn’t leak into other detail areas, the lines are clear, whatever factory did this really took their time.
