What do people think of this piece?

I posted about this on my thread "new pics at action figure.com" thread. lol. But it definitely deserves a second look, since these close ups have pushed me very close to buying this.

It looks better close up, and I don't know if they redid the paint or what. I say this because while I like the theme, the initial pictures looked a little off and the paint looked muted. Hopefully they stick with a more vibrant paint for the actual pieces because according to these pictures it really "pops".

Why you looking at the poor girl's chest? :inquisiti :p
lol...I kid I kid. I didn't see as being too lopsided...she does have one arm raised.

IMO, it may one of the best pieces DST has ever done. Good rendition of Cyclops; Marvel Girl could be a bit better. Hopefully the paints will be a bit more true to the graphics. Nice work.

I wouldn't mind seeing a 1:4 scale rendition by someone in the future.

Having bought the silver age, modern era DST X-Men, I can see myself getting and liking this one. More questionable is the new Dark Phoenix diorama.

Would have liked a removable plastic optic blast (too gimmicky?).

If the colors are a bit brighter, I will get this. Great scuplt.

Yes please make the color more vibrant...isn't there a guy from DS here? Hopefully he sees this.

Did anyone who saw this at the comic con, know what size it is? I'm curious how big it is, so I'm looking for dimensions...or even a comparison with another piece.

As far as the scale, it's about the same as the white queen statues they released. It was very nice in person, but the colors are a bit washed out. Hopefully, as mentioned, they will be a little more vibrant on the actual product.

Wow. So Jean and Scott are each about 12 inches? That is nice!
It was mentioned that the colors would be more like the cover. I looked up the cover, and I can't tell if it will be more muted or less. More vibrant I hope, and less of the brown blotches on them that are supposed to be battle wear I guess.
Maybe DSTChuck can answer this. thanks.
