Randy's talked about a Jack of Hearts bust for phase 3, and since he's one of my favorite characters, I was wondering which version everyone would like to see. I much prefer the classic look to the redesigned costume he wore in his last few appearances in the Avengers. I've include a picture of a custom action figure I did a couple years ago for reference.

He's #1 on my list. I campaigned hard for him on the old BD site. He said the Snyder's were interested. Don't know if that's still true. I hope so. His original costume is a must. It's part of the draw for me. He will make an excellent bust. That action figure looks great.

A FS would be very cool. And based from the picture above, it would look great. It would be such a long shot, but I'll wait until Phase III is done. If he doesn't get made FS, I'm going to have Arahom make me a Jack of Hearts statue.

Arahom rules! I can't say enough about the Bi-Beast custom I just got from him. See my avatar and judge for yourself.

Brian - nice custom job. I'd love a Jack of Hearts bust. Some characters need to be busted because they are major players or have been around a long time. Some, like Jack of Hearts, need to be busted because they are just damn cool visuals.

Nice Custom Job!

Jack of Hearts doea have a cool costume, but the early development of the character always seemed dry. His Avengers membership before his "death" had more interesting characterization!

Well it looks like you are going to get him. I'm sure a bust will be made, and even though he's not a hugely popular character maybe because the costume is so unique he will make for a nice fullsize. Randy can do a cosmic series and include: Nova, Terrax, Firelord, and Jack of Hearts.

Thanks for the compliments guys, and I'm thrilled Randy responded as well. Really looking forward to getting Jack. There are a few third tier characters like him that should get busted just for their dynamic designs, even though they're not hugely popular. A couple others that spring to mind are Tiger Shark and Stingray.

Brian, you seem like a second tier guy, like me. Stingray was #2 on my top 12, that Randy asked about in an old thread. It still pops up every couple days.

What were the components for him?

Stingray is just a Spider-Man repaint with a piece of vinyl for the "wings". Jack on the other hand used parts from a few different figs. (Black Tom Cassidy for the body, Pyro for the arms, and X-Cutioner for the head, with a lot of putty for the belt, gauntlets etc.). And you guys are right, I am a big fan of second and third tier characters. A lot of the busts I own are of these guys (Vindicator, 60's Captain Marvel, Deathlok etc.). There are so many collectibles out there of Wolverine, Hulk, Spider-Man and so on, and I think it's really refreshing that Randy is able to give us such superb renditions of the more obscure characters. It's great to know that just about anybody you can possibly think of might be done, and I think this is what makes Bowen Designs such a great company. :buttrock:

Excellent choices! With you all the way on all of these except Maverick and Thunderstrike. Sorry, never cared for Eric Masterson all that much. I'd especially like to see Nighthawk, Wonderman, Havok, and Thunderbird.
