2010, 2011, and 2012 were lean years, but the release of Alex should make two this year, and Balrog should be up for PO soon, meaning Dhalsim and Balrog should hit in 2014. I think we're back on track!

The absolute WORST thing that could happen to Hugo would be for him to accidentally be Under scale.

But why would you want that for the ex? The new E.Ryu is his own unique character with his own set of alt costumes.

The new E.Ryu should get his own statue. Not just a intricate swap out of regular Ryu.

I'm not opposed to getting a couple characters I really like at 1/3, but I guess I don't really see the point. I'm now thinking that I'd rather have the rumored 1/3 Akuma be 1/4 instead. We'll see.

The extra size going from 1/4 to 1/3 doesn't really seem worthwhile to me. Cost goes up, but does the extra size really flesh out more detail, or just take up more space? I think it's akin to the "law of diminishing returns". 1/4 is the established, popular large statue, I think for good reason.

Yeah I think all SF statues releasing now will be based on SF4 art while revisits will be based on the more realistic look..

Yes, they are both 1:4 mixed media. The revisits (Ryu is the first) will differ slightly from the original line-up's bases, and the statues are supposedly more "realistic", but that really only amounts to the head.

The revisits have just started, and I doubt there is any definitive rule. Likely choices are just those characters Jerry deems worthwhile to redo, as well as factoring in their sales potential.

Dhalsim is an anomaly because of his black smoke/flame base. Otherwise, the revisit bases are all just subtly different from the original line. I think they will fit together just fine.

This is for the 1:4 mixed media line (including revisits), but I didn't think Jerry confirmed yet whether the Vega sketch was a revisit or action. I believe I updated Vega before the action line was announced, so I was waiting for Jerry to clarify before I removed it. You're most likely correct though, that it is part of the action line.

I would like to change the title of this thread when the new lines are officially announced, and would then create other comparable threads at that time - for Street Fighter. Someone else can do MK and the other licenses, but this thread may not even be necessary if the new website eventually contains this info.

Yeah man, the turnaround on these are really long.

I wish 12 months was the ceiling.

You'd think with up to 4 P/Os per year (on 1/4 SF for example) you'd see a staggered release of those P/Os getting delivered 12-16 months later.

But it's still just ONE per year (if that). So if you have 4 or 5 on p/o it's going to be like at least four years to get them lol.

Now that Dhalsim is in hand we'll have to see how long it takes to deliver the next one. That ought to give us a good idea of the delivery schedule since going to the new ordering system (I.E: Everything after Alex).

If my memory serves, I believe three (Balrog, Gouken and Ryu) are at two different factories. Not sure of the actual breakdown of who's where. Not sure where the fourth (Honda) is.

The fact that there are two factories means it's highly likely that we see TWO releases this year, with a chance of three (although that has never happened!). I can almost guarantee that Honda gets pushed to 2016.

I dont think that Jerry would cancel/postpone the 1/4 scale one just because a 1/3 one is coming up....

...look at the mk stuff. they have released 3 (!!) scorpions mk9, classic and 1/3 and three sub zeros classic, mk9 and 1/3 (probably) so i would count on there being enough demand for it. and this is not even counting the busts.

Plenty of people dont want to get into 1/3 and are chomping at the bit for another 1/4 scale akuma. (particularly in that bad ass pose when he taunts with his feet planted)

Although people see the original akuma as a grail, I am not convinced. although i know it started it all etc etc etc...and the piece has history, but the pose is average to me. (although I admit i have never seen it in person)

When it came down to it, I knew that I was EITHER going to get akuma or Zangief when these were the only two I had left to collect, and I went with Gief. He is a big bad mother----er in a unique pose, and completely different to any other streetfighter. With all due respect, akuma is too similar to ryu and ken to justify the high price for me and I am sure many others, so we wait.

Test the waters to see how popular that stance is.

Because while I like the stance, and enjoy its meaning and place in SF history, I don't think it'd be the optimal pose for Akuma in this statue line.

Because he's going to appear squatted and too small compared to everyone else in the line. Especially Sagat (and anyone taller than Sagat).

And the pose seems like extreme action compared to the very slight action on display from the other characters.

Maybe a more neutral pose (think Akuma 1/3) for the revisit, and another Akuma in the Ultra Line?

The heavy action pose seems like it'd fit well with the action pose Vega that was shown. And he could get a rocky (environmental) base to accentuate the pose! Perhaps having the kata somewhat crushing the ground beneath his feet?

You can do things with that pose that would be very difficult to achieve on a plain black base.

But my main concern would be that he'd suffer from Zangief-ism. A 7'0" character that appears shorter than characters that are 5'10".

I am a fan of more variety in the poses for the 1/4 line, which is why I wanted a meditative Gouken pose, but I could get on board with your line of thought. The only problem is the other pose I want is similar to the original Akuma, so it's unlikely to happen. I think I already missed my chance with the pose chosen for the 1/3.

I agree with alot of what you said.

However akuma is not a tall character like gief. gief looks off because he is massive in the game even hunched over and looks tiny next to guile or any other statue. The scale is off.

Sagat is big, perfect size, hes supposed to be towering over ryu and akuma, akuma losing an inch or two by being in a squat a dont think would make too much difference. I think it would look badass!

Balrog I thought would always be awesome.

Dhalsim I thought would suck but turned out IMO to be quite a stunning feat of sculpture and engineering.

And Honda, well, I kind of like the idea of a big fat character. I always wanted a Rufus.

The issue I have with Blanka is probably that I think he's a cheap ass character (in-game) and he's a green monster. And Ono has made him more of a joke.

I think there's two ways to go with Blanka.
1. Hilarious weird monster who loves Momma.
2. Scary ass beastly creature with ridiculously over the top muscles, etc.

I'd prefer the latter but think it will be the former.

It's not my cup of tea but I think a lot of people will like Blanka....some will like him because he's a monster.

And I know Blanka has been in approval hell for 3 or 4 years....different poses, etc.

Now what I really want to know is will they put the white streak in Akuma's hair for SFV? I prefer without but bizarrely I'm getting white hairs on my head (I'm a red head / ginger) in the same place. So I guess they did their research!

You are correct. The issue was just a little confused because Jerry referred to PCS "revisiting" characters that have already been done, rather than saying that they will in fact be "Revisits". Semantics...

To be honest it sounded like he meant in some form or another he will revisit a character.

E.g. could be 1:3, 1:4 museum SF2/4, 1:4 museum SFV, fully sculpted 1:4 Ultra/Action......maybe a bust.

If Vega is out the gates first in the Ultra line I can't imagine seeing him in the revisit mixed media 1:4 scale museum pose for a long time.

The one mixed media revisit a year is a true revisit. Correct? But can a revisit can be mixed or sculpted? The akuma 1:3 isn't a revisist. Plus it went up last year.
The ryu 1:4 last year was a true revisit. This year vega was sculpted and is the first in the ultra line. So does that mean there isn't a revisit this year?
Either way what we have coming out and what we going up on preorder I am extremely excited!

With a repaint, she's a respectable statue. But I'm just not a fan of the likeness. Same with the Guile. I'm waiting for more accurate efforts.

I've got a pretty uncompromising portrait of Guile in mind, so I may never be satisfied. I want this whole statue in mixed-media, but specifically, this face is a must.

The shipping dates in the newsletter are "shipping from China" dates. It takes about a month to arrive at PCS warehouse, then they must ship it to you.

In my opinion, Ryu is unlikely to ship at the listed date, as we have not seen any production photos yet.

It's a lot of time to have $300+ dollars wrapped up and there's just about zero information coming your way as to when you'll actually get something you paid for. It just seems like odd business to me.

The PCS statues are amazing, we all know that, but if this common practice it just surprises me that people keep coming back. It's a lot of time to have $300+ dollars wrapped up and there's just about zero information coming your way as to when you'll actually get something you paid for. It just seems like odd business to me.

Unfortunately, yes, delays are very normal for the collectible statue hobby. Some may argue that PCS delays are among the worst, but on the other hand, the end product is priced very well and the quality is darn good. It also doesn't hurt that the owner (Jerry Macaluso) is very communicative and often involves the fans in some decision making.

As for average turnaround on statue orders, I'd expect at least 18 months.

Not much, except that Huang has a lot more creative freedom on that line compared to the other lines, and there was some teased artwork for the Chun-Li that is planned.

I wouldnt mind seeing a Birdie or Rashid as the mixed media would be amazing on them.

That being said I would love if one of the ones being planned was a full 1/4 Zangief done in mixed media.

A lot of the characters from V have gotten recent statue treatment. Vega ultra line, Cammy ultra line, Necalli 1/6, Nash MM, Ken MM, Dhalsim MM, Ryu MM, and Chun is planned for the 1/6 line.

So I dont know if that rules them out, but I would think the ones we will see in mixed media havent had a recent statue done.
