Hello guys,

very cool forum. This is my first post here. :)
I started out sculpting traditionally in my youth, basically with water based clay and Sculpey. A bit later I changed to oil based clay like Chavant. All my professional work was sculpted digitally though. I changed to digital sculpting a few years ago as it allows me to add more details to the sculpt and also because it's a huge time saver.
I'd like to share a selection of my work in this thread, to see what you think of it.

This bust is my interpretation of the Man-Bat:

Thanks for the comments and the welcome :)
Had a computer crash a few days ago and now I have some difficulties to find the pics of my recent sculpts ... damn, I hope they didn't get lost. I found this one at least:

This is Lucy

I did this demon head design as a donation to the "Mega Monster Brush Pack". For those who would like to experiment a bit with digital monster sculpting: you can download my sculpt for free at the BadKing's website (http://www.badking.com.au/site/shop/organic-custom-brushes/monster-headsmega-monster-brush-pack/). There are also monster parts from other artists, it's all licence free stuff, so you can download and use it for free.

Cheers

This represents my first attempt to get a real world statue out of a digital sculpt. I first started with this concept that I sculpted and painted in ZBrush:

http://i195.photobucket.com/albums/z262/chataortega/model-1-w.jpg~original

It's one of a few alien creations that I concepted directly as a 3D sketch and then finalised it into the above digital sculpt. Later I did some minor changes like the pose, the neck of the creature and the lower mouth tentacles (as I thought that the original tentacles might be too thin for 3D printing). This is the 3D model after those changes:

That followed a 3D print by Ownage, who also molded and casted the "Squosk" alien bust in resin.
I don't have the appropriate lens to take pictures (it's a 4" bust), but I think that all the details, folds etc. show through, so I am really satisfied with the result.
