The cheaper system is useless because your still going to have to buy a memory card at the very least. With the hard drive being an option, no games are going to take advantage of it.

Why? Please don't support Microsoft and there goal of world domination. It sounds like the PS3 will be 250 to 300 unless you want the PS3 on steroids. If you already have a DVR and DVD burner why bother with the steroids version. Plus Sony has way more games available for their consoles than Microsoft does.

I didnt mean that I'll wait a while so I can pick up the Xbox... I just meant that I will wait for the price to drop on the PS3 before I pick it up... I only own a PS2 now....

It didn't seem like he was supporting Microsoft lol I knew from the start the PS3 would be that much, it was around $450 to begin with then moved up. I'm going with the Xbox harddrive version, but not right away, I'll wait a couple of months until they start packing them with a game and extra controller like they did when the Xbox came out.

I know what you mean lol I was very against the Xbox when it first came out, lack of support and 3rd party tiers made it look like a flop, but I'm a heavy online gamer and they got the Live down pat, better then what Sony can do, and it's much smoother all around. Sony might have some great franchises under them but lately nothing really good has come out of them. It's a shame though Nintendo being my number one (well actually SEGA was and the Dreamcast was my dream system) looks as though it will fade out, and leave the 2 electronic comglomerates battling it out in a war of mediocre gaming and high pricing.
