My thanks go out to a fellow forum member for pointing me towards this E-bay auction for this Mark Spears Iron Man / Hulk penciled work.

Reminds me of the She-Hulk cover I always liked. Also now that I think about it Byrne did a similar shot in WCA.

I draw more of a classic Hulk nowadays. This is they style I will be doing the Hulk statue in when we do it. Though the pose will be different.

The Hulk reflecting in Iron Man's helmet was originally drawn for Marvel back in 96 as a test for an editor at the time. They hated it actually. It was the splash page of the story. I redrew it in 2002 as a commission for someone that had saw the original. They never paid for it so I finished up some line work in 2005 and decided to sell it. If you ever do want it inked, let me ink it so I can fix some of the things on it. :)

I'd love to show you Thor but they won't let me show anyone yet. I should be able to after they reveal it at Toyfair this month.

I got into comics in 2002 when I penciled Ultiman #1 for image comics. After that came out I was hired to develop 3d computer animation for a company doing programming for children. I left them last year to get back into comic art and had been doing private commissions and a few independent covers and some work for novels, etc. whatever fell into my lap bascially. After seeing my artwork, Corgi hired me to do the concept work and designs for their Marvel statue line. I plan on trying to get some Marvel or DC comic work soon. Last time I talked to Marvel and DC about doing any comic work was back in 96 and hopefully I have gotten better since then.

Since I can't show you the Thor concept art yet, here is a commission I did of Hulk vs Thor. Though I didn't do as good a job on Hulk I think. I did a different hairstyle for him then I usually do.

Thanks. You learn to be quick working with very tight deadlines. This took me a few hours while watching tv.

I'm going to auction this off on ebay and let the buyer put in any other character they like near Iron Man and Spider-man.
