The emblems and belt parts are place holders.

He's starting to get a little too muscular, need to back him off a little!:eplus2:

look forward to your work :D

wondering how you manage to get such a clean cut for the accessories? are you going to paint it eventually?

Thank you! I use a long razor blade to cut the belt after I roll it out, the other pieces are extruded with a clay extruder from the art store.
This is for a client so I will be painting this and adding a leather cape if I can do it correctly:rolleyes:
Will have another update tomorrow!

I plan to fabricate his cape out of leather, going to need some thin glove or coat leather, here is a prototype I sewed up out of some thicker leather.

Update..Getting close to baking time! still trying to figure out how to add a leather cape because of the way the cowl is made, this is the Hot Toys version..

Thanks Menace! heres an up date, took Shifflets advice and broadened his posterior somewhat and added some thickness to his inner thighs,

And worked on another cape, glued satin type material on the inside of the leather, then sewed in the seams and perimeter,

A freeman this looks really nice. I am looking to start sculpting myself as well so it is nice to see others working on it.

I will say that you have a few anatomy issues in the thighs area that are quit off right nor, and the caves look a little stumped. If I can upload some images to photobucket later tonight I will get you a few references.

Keep up the great work Dude

Here are a few quick references. When in doubt you should probably google images for athletic models. They tend to have more natural anatomy.

Thank you for the ref pics, for some reason I cannot take a proper photo with out it looking "Squat" or compressed in the leg area, I am currently trying to get a tripod and set up a space just for photo which hopefully will fix this.:doh!:
One thing about the MK batman if you have seen the movie or pics from it, there are no real muscle tone modeled into the costume in the movie, the only area they really paid attention too is the chest and ab area, and the abs aren't spot on for anatomy either, so I am trying to capture a mix between the movie and real life, but I am still working and will address this! :wink2:
The next one I am working on (I have two MK batman commissions atm) will be closer to the movie anatomy.
Thanks for your advice and good luck with your sculpting, I look forward to seeing your work!

I did not like how the chest emblem was coming along on MK so I stripped it down and re painting the emblem, in the mean time here is a pic of the base done in granite paint and a couple pics of the second mk...

Got him dull coated and cape attached, now going to sculpt the rest of the cowl with Milliput epoxy putty, I have learned so much from this sculpt, so many things I will do different, and so much to learn yet, thanks to everyone who chimed in with your comments and critiques, it helps so much to have fresh eyes finding things that could be better, a very valuable learning tool, thanks so much everyone!
