When you look at the tag division, you can see why. Tag matches are all the same, good guys win for a while, bad guys take over until end of the match, unbelieveable tag, end of match.

I am too cheap too... I copuld go $19.99...but $35.00 is too much for 8 matches. $50 for WM is out of control.

I turn to the cable channel it is playing on and listen to the audio somtimes when I think of it.

If Bret DOES make an appearance, I will order the replay for sure! But I now see that It is but a dream... I doubt he will be there after signing autographs at the NWA show he is at tonight in NC. He could hop on the WWE jet, but thats doubtful!

Yeah I miss the tag team division too. The last good run the tag division had was when the Hardys, Dudleys, and E&C used to go at it on a regular basis. It got to the point that the TLC matches, the table matches, the ladder matches and cage matches that these teams used to get involved in used to steal the ppv show everytime. This of course must've "upset" some big main eventers and some politcs were done backstage.

Have any of you noticed that ever since the very first roster split the tag team division was never the same because those three teams were broken up? Writers and higher ups have no intention of ever replacing those teams and teams of the past with a decent tag team division out of fear that it would up stage the main eventers again.

Unfortunately, tag teams are now just a plot device to further two single wrestlers feuds or give them an easy week by sharing the burden of a match with three other people. Or to cultivate the next Shawn Michaels.

I think MNM is pretty good and the WWE should take that team and build other teams around them.

Just my opinion.

I think allot of it has to do with the seperation of product. Seems like some of these guys get into grooves and can be matched on awesome fights. With such a thin pool on each show, its tough to get a bunch of guys on a roll and match em up. Someone please take the pen out of Stephanie's hand!

Monday felt like the good old days for a minute there. I tell you though, I miss the Rock and Sock connection, and the old Austin/Rock mic work.

And why, in the name of Mean Gene Okerlund is Coach sitting at the broadcast table? Put him back behind the stage interviewing people and getting dissed.

The following is from the PWTorch Newsletter:

"For many fans, the quality of effort Shawn Michaels put into his match with Hulk Hogan likely gave the impression that he was thrilled to have the opportunity to work such a match. In reality, however, negotiations with Hulk Hogan brought the RAW superstar to a point of disgust."

The newsletter goes on to say that with Hogan's contract giving him creative control, and Michaels agreeing to the match before working out a finish with Hogan (ignoring friends' advice due to thinking he was powerful enough to battle Hogan re: backstage politics), a clean victory for Hogan was the only possibility. A two-match program was discussed, but Hogan wanted to win both (the first at Summerslam, and a second in a cage at Unforgiven that would have Hogan just beating Michaels out of the cage door, as Michaels came off the top), so Shawn stuck with a one-match agreement. Shawn wanted a DQ finish, which wasn't considered, as Vince made it clear Hogan had creative control.

PWTorch says that HBK's sarcastic promo on RAW this week was his way of venting frustration and mocking Hogan as having "superior" in-ring skills that were impossible to withstand.

The main weapon Vince has always had is that he CREATES superstars whereas other companies hire them. Losing some key names to TNA wouldnt slow the WWE monster down one bit, and it would make room on the roster for the next generation of talent.

Imagine TNA with the Dudleyz, Y2J, Charlie Haas, Kidman doing their thing in the 6 -sided ring and Sting, Nash, Hall, Bret Hart in supporting roles to develop talent. I'd watch it! What TNA should do is only charge $19.99 for their ppv's for the first year or so, then creep it up to WWE prices to draw in PPV buys.

Well, i picked this up on Friday because my wife wasnt going to be home and I wanted something to watch after the kids went to sleep...

Gotta tell you, not an Undertaker "fan", but I do respect him and his abilities. Got through disc one and its REALLY GOOD!

I can give a full review if others are interested, but so far so good. I mainlt got it for the never aired PPV match between UNDERTAKER and wwf champion BRET HART from England...( what was that one called again .....the one where hbk beat the bulldog for the euro belt...IYH: One night only? )...that match was AMAZING. I have heard Bret refer to it as one of his all time favorites and I can see why. Not the usual "cookie cutter" Hart moved that setsup the sharpshooter...really great work in the match, with nearfalls for both and quite lengthy.

Well, i picked this up on Friday because my wife wasnt going to be home and I wanted something to watch after the kids went to sleep...

Gotta tell you, not an Undertaker "fan", but I do respect him and his abilities. Got through disc one and its REALLY GOOD!

I can give a full review if others are interested, but so far so good. I mainlt got it for the never aired PPV match between UNDERTAKER and wwf champion BRET HART from England...( what was that one called again .....the one where hbk beat the bulldog for the euro belt...IYH: One night only? )...that match was AMAZING. I have heard Bret refer to it as one of his all time favorites and I can see why. Not the usual "cookie cutter" Hart moved that setsup the sharpshooter...really great work in the match, with nearfalls for both and quite lengthy.

Dave Scherer reporting. ... In case you missed it over the weekend, the team formerly known as The Dudley Boyz was notified by WWE that they couldn’t use the Dudley name outside of the company as WWE sent legal letters to anyone and everyone who was using the "Dudley" name in their advertising, telling them to stop. At the Wrestle Reunion 2 convention and show, they worked as Team 3D. When they left ECW for WWE six years ago, ECW owner Paul Heyman told them that he was giving them the rights to the name as a payback for all they had done for his company during their time working for him. He made it clear that he was doing so that in the event they ever left WWE, they could take their professional names with them. Well, apparently Heyman never filed the proper paperwork and WWE has retained the rights to the Dudley names. They have made it clear that they intend to keep the men who created the characters from using them again anywhere but a WWE ring. Personally, I think it's really a low move by Vince McMahon and WWE. If his company had created the Dudley characters and made them into recognizable names, it would be one thing. But, they didn't. The Dudleys were already an established team when they came to WWE, having made their name as the best tag team in the business long before they ever got to McMahon's company. Heyman made his intention clear to give the name to the team before they left ECW and if they had a large cash reserve, they could take WWE to court over this and maybe win. But, that won’t happen. What makes it more galling to me is that, while they would say that they are just "protecting an asset", it seems to me like WWE is just doing this because the Dudleys had the audacity to refuse taking a pay cut when WWE wanted to sign them for less. After all, why would Vince care where they use the name since he has said that he doesn't see TNA or the independents as "competition"? If that were true, he wouldn't be so concerned with seizing something that wasn't even supposed to be his. So, it just comes across as spiteful to me, especially when you consider what Heyman’s stated intention was back in 1999. Again, it's not as if Heyman wasn't on record as saying that he gave the Dudleys the name back when they left. But, Vince found a technicality here and seized it, just because he could. Was he within his rights? Yes. Was it morally wrong to do? In my opinion, oh yes. It’s just another example of what Mike Johnson talked about on his hotline recently, you don’t cross the boss in WWE. Sad, but true. It certainly sends a message to the WWE current talent, and the message is not a good one.

Mike Johnson reporting. ... Matt Hardy appeared this past weekend at the WrestleReunion 2 convention in King of Prussia, PA. WWE management attempted to have Hardy, one of the headliners of the convention, removed from at the last minute as they wanted to send him to the Raw house shows in Puerto Rico. In the end Hardy, who had signed to appear before his WWE return, still appeared as scheduled at the convention, which probably didn't make WWE management happy. I'll give Hardy a lot of credit for keeping his word and appearing, as he was one of the main names advertised.

Hardy did a Q & A to open the convention. When asked about the finish of the Summerslam PPV match against Edge, he said that it was only "Chapter One" of a five part story with Edge and that fans should wait and see what happens next. Hardy said that there are hard feelings between the two but they are looking to make money with the situation now. He said there are only four people who truly know the whole story regarding the Edge-Lita-Hardy deal.

When a fan questioned Hardy about his return, asking why he went back to WWE only to be buried, Hardy responded, "Ask me again in six months."

When asked about losing to Rob Conway on Raw, Hardy said that he was "still hurt" from Summerslam.

When asked about Triple H's power, Hardy agreed that he's powerful and that sometime he agrees with HHH but sometimes he doesn't and didn't delve any further.

Hardy main evented the convention's live show, teaming with Rhino in a loss to 3-D, the former Dudley Boyz in an excellent match. I'll have a full live report of the show up later, including post-match comments made by all four about their respective past and futures.

I have always likened Vince to Stan Lee. (In the sense that they made up their own characters in their own worlds.) The difference is Vince has the sleaze factor that you mentioned where IMO Stan is all heart.

Foley has a new fiction book out called Scooter. He will be coming back to WWE TV to raise his profile and sell some books. He originally had a handshake deal with Vince to come back for Summerslam, but according to Mick, he wasn't number one on the depth chart of returning legends and when Hogan wanted to come back he got the Summerslam spot.

PPV's are $35...6 weeks later, $18.00 at Wal-Mart...

Plus these Superstar DVD's they are doing are really good with old school matches. Todays wrestling sucks! It makes me sad. My Dad and I used to watch wrestling together, and I won't be doing that with my son. (My only hope is TNA!)

On last night's Between The Ropes radio show, Mick Foley admitted that he was very close to signing with TNA Wrestling -- having an offer on the table for four months -- before signing with WWE.

Had he signed with TNA, he would have been a commissioner-type figure, and had a few wrestling matches. In fact, in a recent interview taped for ESPN2's Cold Pizza, he said that Samoa Joe -- ROH star who is currently signed with TNA -- was someone he would like to get in the ring with. He also stated that he hopes the SpikeTV deal would provide WWE with some competition.

After speaking with Vince McMahon, and decided to sign with WWE -- not for any additional money than TNA offered -- in a contract that would include a small number of matches.

Velocity -- along with syndicated recap shows Bottom Line and Afterburn, and weekly Sunday morning show Experience -- is being cancelled as of the move to USA, and Heat's status is unclear.

After months of teasing and speculation, TNA looks close to be finalizing a video game deal, although a publisher or developer is still unknown. Bill Banks had gone so far to say in his online column that an announcement could be expected at Unbreakable, but the statement was pulled due to the deal not being finalized yet.


And im hoping it plays well...

i think every wrestling fan that has watched wrestling for atleast 5 years wants to see TNA get big just to make WWE better - i really cant remeber when i didnt want to watch RAW/ SD everyweek but i havent seen SD in so long i cant remeber what he last epsiode was that i did see , raw is alot better but its still weak sometimes

RAW is coming home to USA

A "Night of Champions" is scheduled for Monday Night RAW's homecoming to the USA Network on Oct. 3.

Many former WWE Champions will be making their return to RAW on Oct. 3, including Hall of Famer Hulk Hogan, Stone Cold Steve Austin, Mick Foley and Triple H. Even Mr. McMahon himself will make an appearance.

All of this is in addition to current WWE Champion John Cena and former WWE Champions Shawn Michaels, Big Show, Kurt Angle and Ric Flair being a part of the historic, star-studded evening.

RAW flourished during its seven-year run on USA network, establishing cable rating records as WWE fans flocked to the television each and every Monday night. And it's happening all over again, so don't miss RAW on Oct. 3 for this televised homecoming.
