Seeing this Hulk in-progress shot makes me hope that The Thing gets the Hard Hero treatment. I think that the style we've seen from Hard Hero would make The Thing possibly the best one yet!

leks: the line just begun. i think the time to get into it is now before the surfer becomes impossible to get. note that there are only 500 of those puppies out. the hulk is going to be huge. i'll try to get some dimensions for everyone and maybe even weight.

What is the obssession for huge statues?

Agreed for characters like the Hulk and the Bowen Sentinel, it is appropriate but where the heck do people put these mammoth pieces? I have about two rooms dedicated almost uniquely to statues and figures and even that is not enough for these monsters. It kills me that people consider a statue as wide as the pictured Hulk at 13.50 inches to be too small.

I am glad that people are getting what they want, but there is no way I will be buying a statue I can't put on display without moving two other statues out. :redface:

Not in my case actually, I have chosen Hard Hero, and would do so even if they were to cost more than the current price point. I think the price is fair for the value received. While I am buying these pieces strictly for the enjoyment factor, I have no doubt that their value, over time, will surpass the current purchase price. Buy what you like and you will never go wrong.

I think the head is too small. I don't think of the Hulk as a muscle-bound monster but more of a "hulk". I've yet to see a great Hulk statue especially one based on the days when Kirby, Romita and Sal Buscema ruled.

I don't own any of the Hard Hero Marvel statues yet, but I can tell you from owning several of their Transformers statues that the paint jobs are all top notch.

I think the two companies are raising the bar and offer distinctly different products which makes me excited to be in the game at this time, and is killing me financially.

I've been mostly a Bowen-only collector, but I do have a few DST pieces, including their FS Hulk. This HH stuff looks great, though, and I'm thinking I'm going to have to expand my collection!
