No interest in this character but he does look really cool... Seems Gaming Heads are making some really awesome looking statues lately...

Agreed. If and when the time presents itself to purchase this i would pull the trigger.

Awesome looking statue. ESO was one heck of an accomplishment, with some really sweet character design to top it off, so this is welcome news.

I'm going to assume that he's 1/4th scale at 16" tall which is pretty cool considering the fact that Breton's are notoriously short in comparison to the other human races(not a good reference picture below). If they produce the other two "Heroes of Tamriel" from the cinematic trailer, it'll be interesting to see how they compare side by side.

If I had to nitpick for flaws, the only thing that really stands out to me is the fact that he has a quiver, but lacks a bow.. Granted, he does lose it for a majority of the game's trailers making it more of an omission than an inaccuracy. Certainly not a deal-breaker for me.

Now bring on the Altmer/Bosmer chick!

16 inches sounds much more 1/6 than 1/4 to me, considering he also has the base.

If this statue is 1/6th then I'm even happier! It will work well with the other ES figure they did!!!

Their website says he's 16" tall so he's probably 1:5 scale.

1:6 scale would make him roughly 12" tall... most 1:4 scale statues are roughly 18"+, so at 16" I would say 1:5 scale, the other statue Dragonborn is also 16" so they are the same scale.

The Dragonborn statue is on a very large base (significantly taller than the Breton's base), and is described as 1/6th. If they're both 16 inches tall then they're not in the same scale.

1/6th would put him at 8' when scaled to "real" proportions.
1/5th would put him at 6' 8"

Too tall if you ask me.. Especially if the in-game character model/description of Bretons in TES are anything to go by. For a character who belongs to the shortest human race in the series since Morrowind, 5' 4"(1/4th scale) seems like the more reasonable assumption.

He is 1/6 scale. 12" + 4" base = 16".

I only played Skyrim, but from what I read from users on the forums and seen ingame...if you are looking for an online version of Elder Scrolls, this is not the game you are looking for.
Supposedly, if you really like lore (there is a lot of reading in the quest), then it might be fine, other than that, it seems to be your generic mmo with a bunch of rehashed / usual mmo mechanics.

Yeah, that's what I've read which is kind of disappointing. I also am not that big into MMOs, but I think the Breton does look really good. I would still love a 1/4 scale Dragonborn in Daedric armor! Make it happen, GH!!! :)

Your right, I forgot to take into consideration the base... if that's the case then these are not the same scale which is puzzling since they both come from the same series... You would think they would do the same scale.

I used to be worried about things like scale, I got over it though. As long as the pose, sculpting and paint apps rock, then I'm good to go! In truth I'm just glad these guys are making these types of statue.....I just have no need to go to the mainstream companies right now, and even if those mainstream guys were making these figures, they'd either be savagely expensive (GG) or totally whack (SS)......

It is the same scale as Dragonborn. Both are 12 inches tall on slightly different sized bases.

The Dragonborn, yes. The Breton, however, looks to be on a base that's no more than an inch tall. If that.

Yeah, the scale for their various Elder Scrolls lines is all over the place. To my knowledge, the Skyrim, Shrines and Heroes lines are all supposed to be treated as seperate beasts despite belonging to the same franchise. Not a huge deal if scale is unimportant to you.

Personally, I think it provides a nice variety. Everyone has their different tastes, so this allows a wider range of people to find a niche and run with it. Everything so far has been extremely promising, and they've got an incredible amount of material to work with for each of the respective lines.

At the moment, I'll probably just stick with their 1/4th Heroes line based around ESO, simply because I'm certain they'll be making the two others that the line is in reference to. Now if they decide to expand the Skyrim line with other 1/6th statues as well, I'd definitely have to dig into it. I think it would be awesome if they used the in-game character models that can be found on the loading screens of the game. There's a lot of possibility there, ranging from the different races/factions/creatures etc. As JSeals mentioned above, anything involving Daedra, particularly the armor, would warrant an immediate purchase from me. If I remember correctly, there was a character model wearing Daedric Armor on one of those loading screens.:praying:

Ah, well I stand corrected. I see that a few of the other pictures (just barely) show that second tier as well. Why it's so obscured in the photos, I don't know.

I do, however, stand by my original sentiment in that these two are not in the same scale, even with an additional .5"-1" of base.

Unless of course there's more to that base that they're not showing. In which case, I'd happily welcome the idea that the two could be displayed together at 1/6th scale.

...being always right is such a burden! :D
Imho, too costly for 1/6 considering that their 1/4 Garrus is just a 20$ more, if they produced at least 1/5 pieces I'd consider them to pair up with the Diablo Overthrown. Also, if they only used Morrowind's art, still the best chapter in the saga imho. I'd really throw my cash away for Morrowind pieces.

I am new to statue collecting and I now start to realise that when Gaming Heads announce something, you can expect a 2 years before receiving it...

Anyways, I will also leave my pics of the Breton here:

Yepp, not a hardcore fan. But this has nothing to do with my opinion if I play the game or not.
I would buy a statue if I find it interesting even if I havent played the game, for example like the Bloodborne statues from Prime 1. I never played the game, but I preorded Lady Maria, day one

As for this statue here, to my opinion, this character design is plain boring, nothing we havent seen in other games and tbh it doesnt even fit to an Elder Scrolls setup, but hey, its just me, I know many will like him and thats fine

Well, it is true that it is not super dynamic and it does not have a crazy pose. The base is also very simple, but I like it that way.
I am a bloodborne fan and I did not PO Lady Maria because I find the base way to big, and to me it is not going to look good beside P1's hunter, which also have a very big base.
I like it when the actual character is the main part of the statue, because he is what I want to look at, I want my eyes to be drawn to him and not to a huge base.
Also, the Breton statue is part of a set, the ''Heros of tamriel'', and that kind of simple base with the ESO logo around fit for all three characters (Breton, High elf, Nord) so it was a good idea to use that base to me.

Now, when it comes to design, we all like different things. I understand that you may not like how he looks.
You say he is plain borign to you, but he is not to me, because he is representative of a game that I like. And he was a really cool character in the trailers of the game imo

yes, its a matter of taste, as I said, some will like, some will not, as with all statues and collectibles
