My Ramblings:
I am going to keep this review brief.
There are three aspects of this piece that really make it great.
1. Compact Design – I am not necessarily talking about size, but how the statue was designed. There aren’t any delicate hair strands or widespread arms or windblown ribbons. Nothing that would cause obvious breakage. I don’t feel like I have to be extremely careful when holding this piece. Also, the base makes it easy to handle the statue. I like the small sculpted feet on the bottom of the ottoman. I am able to easily insert my fingers under the base and lift. Unlike heavy premium format bases that are so low to the surface.

2. Paint Application – There is shading on this piece!!!!! I didn’t think it could be done. Sideshow had me believe that flat, one-toned paint applications were our only option. This piece has shading, everywhere! A tad too much in some areas, but it is still shading! There are at least two tones used on the skin. I can see the variation on the feet and face. I like the black shadowing used on Spider-Man’s stretched costume. The only area that bugs me is her shirt. The black shading is extremely heavy. You might be able to lessen this eye sore by displaying her at an angle that hides the front of her torso. It really isn’t that bad, but there is that option if it does bug you. The painted details are nicely done. The painted texture, worn holes and seams on her jeans are all well painted. Even the web lines on Spider-Man’s costume are surprisingly clean. There might be some bleeding and some imperfections, but they are not noticeable at a common distance. If you hold the statue six inches away from your face you will notice them. But on display in a cabinet or on a table, you won’t. Note: Some of my photos are taken extremely close and seem to show more imperfections that I notice with my plain eyes.

As you can see, close up, the face paint application isn't the cleanest, but this is extremely close.

3. The box is as large as a typical shoe box. Amazing! I wish all boxes were this size. lol

I think this piece is priced right, at about $225-$250. It might be small, but there is a lot of paint application here.

AND she is just so darn adorable!!!

Thanks guys. She is very nice. I hope this line continues with more Marvel characters. This really is a great line for beginning collectors and people that can't afford the $400+ price tags on other Sideshow pieces.
