Weta Statue Quality Control, paintjob?

I was just curios since I'm thinking about getting the Smaug statue from Weta. How is Weta's quality of their paint for mass produced statues? like is it below say Sideshow, on par, or better than them?

Better. Their paintjobs look like what is advertised on their site most the time. They have better packaging too.

Weta's QC is among the best in the Statue business. Much better than SS, that's for sure

From the stuff that I got from Weta. Their QC is great/solid. Paint job is pretty close as advertised.

That's because they don't outsource to china like SS. Everything is done in house. I own all 3 D9 guns and they are absolute works of art.

You get what you pay for. They are a little overpriced as well in my opinion but that's no doubt a consequence of producing these pieces in house . . .

People are just confused and seem to think they're produced in New Zealand.

They don't outsource sculptors like most other statue companies. I suppose you could say that makes them more in-house than Sideshow.
